The xx's appearance :lol: Okay I'm filling the tape with: The xx, Foals, Metric :P, Beach House, Wild Beasts, St. Vincent, Grizzly Bear, Beirut, Animal Collective and Sufjan Stevens then. I don't know much about The National, and Fleet Foxes are relatively boring.

Metric is awesome, but it's a grower band. They seemed average to me on the first listen, now I just love them. And what about: The xx, Foals, Arcade Fire, Kasabian, Beach House, St. Vincent, Grizzly Bear, The Vaccines...?

Depends, if you used the riff, it is copying. If you used only the chord progression, then it isn't. There are hundreds of other songs with the same progression, so it's not considered copying. Can you explain a little bit better?
