That's their naming mechanism for the iPhone. Weird, I know. But that's what they did. The 3G was when they brought in the 3G service, so they wanted to highlight that in the product name. Not like denoting that it's the third iPhone. Because obviously that's wrong.

I have a 3GS that I still rock because I'm on T-Mobile (I hacked it). It's the worst. Why does T-Mobile not get the damn iPhone? Every other :censored: carrier has it. (First world pains)
