  1. Parachutes: 11/10 AROBTTH: 11/10 X&Y: 10/10 VLV: 11/10 Mylo Xyloto: 10/10
  2. Betting this is instrumental. If there is only 45 minutes on the album, then there is 12 minutes remaining for the 5 songs we haven't heard. I bet three of these are instrumental (under 2 minutes). I think Up with the Birds is going to be instrumental because it would just sound right. If the album stars off with MX (like Life in Technicolour) then I bet it will end with a little instrument send off. (Like Death and All of his Friends did). I am going to be dissepointed if this is true, and I have a good feeling it is.
  3. Totally agree, in fact I was doing the math on the album time: if everything in the studio versions are similar in length to the live versions and singles, then there is roughly twelve minutes left for the five remaining songs!! 12 minutes=Hopeful Transmissions+M.M.I.X.+UFO+DLIBYH+Up With the Birds!!!!!! If this is true, I wouldn't be surprised if three of these songs were instrumental! I am guessing M.M.I.X., UFO, and Up With The Birds probably will be under two minutes each. Leaving about three minutes for DLIBYH and Hopeful Transmissions This honestly upsets me quite a bit. I am sure that the studio versions are going to be far better and different than their live counterparts, but I feel like I am not getting as much new material as I have been waiting for, for the past three years!!
  4. I agree with you that one should just listen what they like regardless of what it is. I just find it frustrating that people call them "poppy" which has the connotation of lacking musical talent and following trends to be profitable, which Coldplay IS NOT!
  5. I agree with this, those two songs are some of my favourites from the new material. And don't get me wrong, I really like their poppy songs, but I am just hoping the Mylo Xyloto as a whole will have some originality and substance, and not every song will be trying to bust the charts!
  6. I have been a die hard Coldplay fan for years now, and in the process have collected all their works. My buds and I all listen to Indie and Rock music where I live, and we all strongly dislike the majority of today's pop music. Every time I tell my friends Coldplay is my favourite band, they accuse me of liking crappy pop music!! Now I know that Coldplay is one of the highest grossing bands ever, and that they are extremely popular, but never did I listen to their albums and think they were crappy pop music. I agree that Coldplay has songs that are poppy on every album: "Yellow" and "Clocks" to name a few, but ever since hearing ETIAW and Paradise, and especially after hearing Rihanna will be in POC, I am getting concerned that my friends are right!! What should I think?? I don't want to think of Coldplay as a poppy radio band!!
  7. I don't think everyone should rush to conclusions. Here in the states, it seems like every collaboration on the radio features Rihanna, and I usually don't care for them at all. BUT lets not lie to ourselves, Rihanna has a great voice. Plus Coldplay wrote the song, so if you are a true fan, you know it can't be god awful. I admit it seems to lessen the bands credibility of being one of the few popular artists left that are true musicians. But lets wait to see the final product before we all decide!
  8. A little dissapointed, I don't know why the bass has to be distorted, it makes it sound like Coldplay is trying to be poppy. Every Coldplay Album has its poppy songs and I always like them, but I am concerned after hearing CB, ETIAW, and Paradise that this album will be way overdone, especially after seeing Rihanna will be featured. :\
