  1. I'm talking consistency of quality, not theme or style. Every song off MX is a mixed bag amongst fans. Where as the tracks I mentioned were just insta-hits with the fans.
  2. When you already know every detail about Atlas and have the lyrics down by heart.
  3. How come, recently, have all these one-off releases become insta-classics? (referring to Christmas Lights, Moving to Mars, and Atlas) Why couldn't MX have been this consistent? I am dissapoint.
  4. Putting on my hipster pants here, but does this even matter when the top ten is occupied by the likes of Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, and JAY-Z? (whose 'Magna Carta' was very uninspired)
  5. :| That just won't happen.
  6. I think Eno was necessary to mix it up and give them a new perspective. I thank Eno because I think it was very possible that Coldplay could have gone stagnant and stale and would have never fulfilled their sky-high potential if they never had him. But now, after seeing how well Atlas is doing across ALL Coldplay fans, I feel confident that they will be at their best if they stay in-house.
  7. So what does Atlas mean for LP6, if anything?
  8. I do hope Atlas becomes a regular on the setlist. It would be a shame if they don't play it, because what you said. ^ Very true.
  9. I wouldn't say Paradise or MTM is legendary.
  10. Right!? :D It seems like this is what Coldplayers have been begging for ever since ETIAW dropped. A mix of a bunch of eras.
  11. 9/10
  12. During the second chorus, are those electronic drums? With the low quality I can't tell. But I REALLY like the drums there. It sounds kinda dubsteppy, but not really..... weird :D I'd actually really like someone's opinion on this.
  13. The song is very beautiful. The chorus is fantastic, and if Coldplay can carry this quality of music into LP6, it may be their best album ever. When Chris sings "carry your world," this is about as good as Coldplay can get. I love how stark the piano is, and the 'wer wer wer wer wer' of the guitar in the background during the verse really hearkens back to the pre-Parachutes era (see No More Keeping My Feet On the Ground). Put simply, this song is a love letter from Coldplay to their fans. If I had one gripe, it would be that the verses could be better. Or maybe it's just the chorus is too damn good. 9/10
  14. It's great..... definitely NOT what I was expecting. I hope there's some piano or guitar solo near the end.
  15. It will flop, if you're viewing it as a single or something. But it's just an original song for a soundtrack, so it's not supposed to be a big deal, and it isn't. It's only a big deal right here, on this forum. Hell, I'd say less than 10% of Coldplay fans even know about this. If the song plays during ads, it might gain a bit more steam.
  16. :disappointed: I just wanted to have some fun... *edit HEY!! The background changed!!
