Us Against The World Piano Chords - Sandy Relief Concert Version 12.12.12
As mentioned in another thread, The Champion's version is how to play the studio version. The 12.12.12. was an acoustic, 1-man solo performance.

Imitation of the synths in Hurts Like Heaven
First off, welcome to Coldplaying! Second, the problem with the soundpacks and midi voices that the band uses are most of the time custom, and hard to recreate. The chords are mostly centered around Bb but that's all the know. Just like Chris's GT-20, the sounds that he uses are not the ones pre-loaded onto the piano, rather ones that some one in the crew made and patched.

Just an update...I started teaching the song today and...surprisingly taught like 95% of it within a span of an hour so it's doable...

G modal tuning
The only time I would mess with the e string is if I were to tune it down, rather then up. I'm comfortable with like 2-3 semi-tones but that's all I can manage :worried:

Viva la Vida tour 2009, keyboard and TV withpiano and quartet orchestra
The keyboards are generic MIDI control synthesizers. As for the brands I do not know. I do know that Chris's piano is a Yamaha GT-20 electric acoustic with custom sounds that the sound engineers mixed for touring. The TV is probably just a regular TV and is just playing back stock footage.

Fix You organ sound
He bought a soundpack that I'm assuming was the one that Chris's piano is based on and he just transferred the sounds via MIDI/USB to the piano. That or he played it back on a computer.

piano hook for Clocks
You dont really do much with the left hand unless your playing it like the way Chris does live. Even still, you're only playing octaves of Eb, Bb, and F which are fairly easy. Clocks has 3 chord progressions, spread out over a duration of 4 times. The 2nd progression is played twice to fill in the gap. So it's Eb/G, Db/F, Db/F, and Bb/F. For the left hand, just play the corresponding notes in octaves: Eb, Bb, Bb, and F. Also, you dont need lessons. I taught myself piano over a duration of 4 years and I can now read sheet music as well as taught myself music theory without classes or lessons. You can't expect to get it over night; it took me about 2-3 months until I could fully play Clocks.
