  1. That's the song. I don't know how to play it.
  2. I submitted this
  3. I love Tumblr
  4. It takes practice is all I can tell you. You can start off my learning the timing with the left hand and play octaves of the root/bass note in the left. Then work your way up and add your own flair.
  5. So we're sending this behemoth to Ian correct? If not I'm sure someone can give it to the guys lmao
  6. Find it yet?
  7. If you want a copy of the live studio version I made of this song to make another cover, let me know :nice:
  8. Agreed. The only real application I can associate with the toms is a Jazz song called Zoot Suit :P
  9. Very impressive :awesome: Just the way I play the air drums hahah, you really have this song down pat!
  10. Uh....no :uhoh: (Yes )
  11. I wonder what became of the Sticky note page I started
  12. ^ If that's the case you would "tie" them together as thats what the curve is called. In this case, 2 quarter notes, so depending on the time signature, you would hold the note for 2 beats, or longer. If the notes are like the harmonic chords, just play them at the same time. Harominic chords and chords mean the same thing. Harmonic means that they go together.
  13. Warning Sign is the same except it's been transposed down. I just got my power back so I'll have to look later to see what key exactly.
  14. You just play them at the same time. And it was pretty close. Monmouth County was where I am. The counties below me got hit pretty hard :shame:
  15. Yep  so my iPhone is like on 25% ATM so I have to limit myself.
  16. If they are stacked vertically the notes make a "chord". Sorry I lost power and might not have it for 5 days :blank:
  17. Yep :nice: And since you know all of Coldplay's songs, you dont need to learn rhythms and focus on the notes :sneaky:
  18. LCD is just the name of the type of screen you have. It's nothing lol. A staff is the name of a bar of music while Clefs are the name of the "G" and Backward "C" looking symbols on music. The Treble Clef is top while the Bass Clef is on the bottom. The Treble Clef for piano is usually done via right hand, and the Bass Clef is usually done with left, however there are times you can play the Bass with your right as well :awesome: All music has atleast 1 staff with 1 clef. There are more interesting things about clefs such as clef changes during the middle of a song but thats for later  Here are the 2 Clefs and Also, note how there are number's following each note. Those numbers help identify each not on its octave. C3 is always called Middle C...I dont know why here it's call C4 though  And thanks :nice:
  19. What if he's the Doctor :wreck:
  20. Also if I dont reply for a while it's because Hurricane Sandy is at my doorstep :uhoh:
  21. Indeed I can :awesome: If you know the names of the keys on the piano, C, D, E, etc. then it is not too hard. It just takes time and a lot of devotion :P. But it took me awhile because nobody wanted to teacher me  I recommend getting a keyboard that has the LCD screen with the music staffs on it. This way you can lean which note is which and what position/octave it's in. (This does matter if you're reading music, unless you're improvising or just fooling around )
  22. I suggest keep learning the Scientist. Once you have the right hand down, learn the left hand. The Left hand is just the chords you play on the right hand, unlike any other Coldplay song where it would be the bass notes.
  23. Never give up. I'm self-taught for 4 years and I can read sheet music :D (I'm starting to learn rhythms though :P) Ifyou ever need help feel free to ask, and that goes for everyone :nice:
  24. Louise lmfao. I like Coldplay a lot, but they are some songs that aren't perfect, atleast for me. Take Lukas and a Spell Yell Rebel, for example; I could never get into those songs. I like the video, but I kinda felt that they could've done more with the video and not have it be a marketing tool for the comic. It's such an awesome song, I think PoC would've been a better candidate for the comic since the video was shoddy
