  1. I cried for hours after reading this. Thanks. Anyways, my forum was just for speculation, this forum seems to be taking the track of using French Voodoo healing herb websites to mystically obtain via men in long trench coats with two hands around the throat the release date which none may know not even the men in trench coats and sunglasses but I'll stop rambling on before I publicly embarrass myself bye.

    ^No.
  3. I already made a perfectly good release date thread. Is this necessary?
  4. Christmas Lights of course... it's just so magical.
  5. WHY DO YOU GUYS ALWAYS FORGET ABOUT O?
  6. kover replied to kover's topic in Mylo Xyloto (2011)
I think the Viva era really ended with the release of Christmas Lights. That's why I think ETIAW is the lead single for LP5.
  7. Since this is our dream tracklist, I made up a few song names. These are not real by the way. 1. Don't Let It Break Your Heart 2. Christmas Lights 3. How You See The World No. 3 4. Moving to Mars 5. SunnyD 6. White Rose 7. Hurts Like Heaven 8. Menelaus 9. Lost Colony (Hidden Track Us Against the World) 10. Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall 11. Don Quixote 12. Lucky Sevens

Did you guys know that the VLV track listing was announced even before the lead single (Violet Hill) came out? http://www.coldplay.com/timeline/2008_04_10_001.png This really throws a wrench into my plan to find out how soon after the lead single (Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall) we will find out the track listing. :L Any guesses about when we will hear the track listing?

Seems like the band has been trying to promote their twitter page a lot lately. That's all.
  10. I don't think every song on Viva is gunna have a soul mate on LP5. To me, this is as impractical as trying to match up songs on VIva with songs on X&Y. The albums just aren't compatible.
  11. "Somewhere, up above the stars, the wreckage of a universe floats past."
  12. I really hope a Joe doesn't stop in to say "Hi" on LP5. If I may quote Roadie #42 for a second, "They’re big enough now that there’s plenty of cynical snipers who’d love to see them fail just - well, just *because*." How true.
  13. Here's something to think about. I'm going out on a limb here but I think the new Viva La Vida will also be the album title and it will precede Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall on the album. If you think about it, on both VLV and X&Y, the pre-album single has come after the title song.

As much as I would wish someone *really* knows the release date, I think all we can do is speculate. There's as good of a chance that the album releases on October 24th as on October 25th if you know what I mean. I personally think the album will either come out between August 5th-September 16th or on 11/11/11. But I have little evidence to support it.

Okay. But remember, the theory is copyright 2011 by me lol.

    10. Don't Let It Break Your Heart
  17. The whole thing about Mutagenic Xylobrytes or whatever was just a false leak started by this psychopath guy. Its not the album title.
  18. After a whole lot of searching I found it. Here ya go. http://www.coldplay.com/oracle.php?page=100#!prettyPhoto/49/
  19. So you're saying that the songs get 10X worse every album?
  20. I became a Coldplay fan during the Viva La Vida Era, and I love Glass of Water. I can't really begin to understand how it feels for those of you who have been fans for five, ten, twelve years... but I do think we can get along. We shouldn't have enemy in our own ranks.
  21. kover replied to kaisin's topic in Us Against The World
I can see "Us Against The World" becoming a lyrical motif for this album... Think about it. The phrase was already used in "Major Minus" and UTAW (obviously.) UATW is a slow, acoustic song. Now is it just me or is this starting to seem Now My Feet Won't Touch The Ground-ish?
  22. I don't know what the name of the album is but I firmly believe it's not MX. What kind of a band releases the song they named the album after before the album is released? After the success of Viva La Vida (the song not the album) I think they'll try another hit song-title instead of making the title a slow song like "Parachutes" or "X&Y." I hope you guys understand what I mean, I can't seem to find the right phrasing to explain lol.
  23. kover replied to kover's topic in Mylo Xyloto (2011)
Sarcasm or not, the fact remains that the deadline for the album is coming very soon. But just because the album is "finished" doesn't mean there's not more work to do. The release date literally could be months away from the completion of the album. As I said before, the track listing for VLV was announced two months prior to the release. Since the track listing could only be revealed when the album was entirely completed, I would speculate we have more than two months to wait after next week.

If LP5 does come out that late in the year, it wouldn't surprise me if they pulled an 11/11/11 on us.
  25. Yes. Chris (or maybe somebody else) is saying that. The Oracle confirmed this lol.
