[21-Apr-2012] Coldplay @ Rogers Arena, Vancouver, BC, Canada
I have a question. I wasn't here for the VLV Tour, but when the band played back to back in the same city on consecutive nights, did they usually change their setlist a bit (on the second night) or pretty much kept it the same?

at the 55 second mark "took the car downtown and took what they offered me, on 4/20" lol, fits perfectly into the meaning of the song (if you interpret it that way)

[9-Jun-2012] Coldplay @ Capital FM's Summertime Ball 2012, Wembley Stadium, London, England
What a shitty lineup (aside from 2-3 acts).

Movement To Bring Politik Back On MX Tour Setlist
I really don't understand what all the moaning about the setlist is about. I've been privy to this too and I've complained and wanted my "dream" setlist, but in reality Coldplay are a band that, most of all, want to please their fans. They are not going to get rid of songs like Yellow, IMP, The Scientist etc because these are classic Coldplay songs and at concerts, this is what people want to hear. Most people that attend these concerts are not hardcore fans as present on these forums. Concerts are attended by a majority of casual Coldplay fans or rock/soft-rock fans in general. If they dropped Politik, sure 10-15% of the audience may be upset, but the majority of the people won't take any notice. On the other hand, if they dropped Yellow or IMP, that's on a different level. And I've seen some proposed setlists consisting of mainly non-singles, and this would never happen because more than half the audience would just get bored. Also, we as fans follow every concert on these forums and see the same setlist over and over again, but to many of the people who attend the concerts, its completely new to them. So the idea that Coldplay would all of a sudden revamp their setlist to include songs that we know they are just not going to play, is just really hopeful optimism. From what I've read so far (concert reviews online and in this forum), everyone has come back saying they had a great time and that's all that really matters. This is just my two cents by the way.

Random Coldplay thoughts...
Yeah, in a sense it is. But at the same time, interviews are usually done to promote the tour or album and a band as big as Coldplay don't need to do that. And possibly, after what happened after the GMA interview, they just don't see the point. The 'regretting the album' joke got to the point where CM had to defend his actions on twitter. It shouldn't even have come to that, in my opinion. It's weird to see how fast the media can change and twist a story. Again, this is just my theory and food for thought and if I had to put a prediction on when they would end it, it would be in June, when PoC is predicted to come out.

Random Coldplay thoughts...
This is my own little theory and I'll see how true it holds in the coming months. My theory is basically that Coldplay are on a media blackout (not giving radio/tv interviews etc). The reason behind this is from the GMA interview where the media misinterpreted CM's joke about regretting naming the album MX. We haven't heard from them since (aside from the occasional tweet). I'm interested to see how long this holds up. Again, this is just my theory.

In Toronto, I've been to the ACC (our main big venue) many times, and I've never been screened. Only if you bring a bag, they'll check that, otherwise they just let you right in. The odd random person may get checked though. Hmm, seems a bit strange for this happen at a CP concert though.
