  3. Oh yes that song! Wrote it last June haha. It's alright. Yes loads and loads of songs! Thanks for taking the time to check some out! Let me know what you think, feedback is important :P
  4. If you want some nostalgia, go to YouTube and search, "Coldplay Live Midtfyn". You'll get about 5-6 videos from a festival back in 2002.
  5. Thank you for taking the time to listen! I do appreciate it! Glad you like it. Clockwork was inspired by GPASUYF, Bullet The Blue Sky and Psycho by Muse. Let me know when you remember who Say reminds you of! :D
  6. So I play guitar(badly) and sing(even worse) and write songs(that are somewhat decent) and would love some feedback from you guys! Here are two new ones I've written. Both are still early in the writing process so I need to work on them. On Clockwork, I tried to hit notes I can't hit so there will be cringe worthy moments. Hoping to use this thread for future songs so I don't end up wasting space! :P
  7. What if they changed plans and showed up on stage with Noel Gallagher and ripped into 12 full minutes of Champagne Supernova. That'd be awesome. Or even Up & Up followed by Champagne Supernova. That'd be hella awesome!
  8. I think they played in Charlotte, NC during the MX tour back in 2012. If that's close to you? :)
  9. No that is not a new insult. It's only an insult if you take it that way. Words have a way of shaping the way we perceive things. You know that as well as I do.
  10. The only way you could take offense to what I said was if that actually happened to you.
  11. Always In My Head is a good track I agree.
  12. I don't sit in silence waiting, I fall asleep usually haha. I'd love to hear Talk or In My Place live again.
  13. Interesting opinions guys. Always good to hear people speak their minds.. Even if we don't all agree haha. Oh and bgw, some of that stuff I said, I didn't really mean it. Half joking half serious. But in all seriousness, great in depth analysis.
  14. Oasis reference. They have a song called, "Guess God Thinks I'm Abel".
  15. If God is love, then he must guess I'm Abel.
  16. Cheif? I thought he was god?
  17. Hmm alright. I see what you mean. To each their own. :P
  18. But that's part of it don't you think?
  19. I'm having a hard time liking this post you just made haha.
  20. I love all those background ambient noises too! Good post Thalia!
  21. I'd like to get your guys' opinion on something. It'll help if you're completely honest too, don't hold anything back; cause I'd really like to know. Do you think in time, MX, GS and AHFOD together or separately could reach the levels that P, AROBTTH, X&Y and Viva soared to? I mean, Yellow, Politik, Square One and strawberry Swing are classics. No doubt about it. It got me thinking, in 10 years time I'll bet songs like Paradise, Magic and Amazing Day will have aged gracefully and we could place them among the best of the best Coldplay tracks. I mean, think about it! The new album lyrics have a way of sticking with you. If they stick with you, they must be good right!? On to production. I love the production of the first 4 albums. It's perfect, maybe a few duds here and there but for the most part it's solid. Stargate's production on AHFOD isn't all that bad. It really shines through on Up & Up where Chris' vocals take center stage. That song Up & Up is up(pun intended) there with Amsterdam in terms of raw energy, sound and production. If you listen to the masterpiece that is X Marks The Spot, you'll hear the clean production mkxed with the "boo-boo boom" of the lyrics. It makes it as catchy as a song as say In My Place right? What do you think the live shows will be like? Supposedly the stage setup is shaped like a giant male sperm. If they bring out more props they could seriously make this tour the best yet! Do you guys think more is better? Or simplicity at its core is best? Since the band only plays between 20-21 songs now, it is safe to say that AHFOD will take center stage at the concert in terms of how many new songs they perform. In My Place hasn't been played since 2012, Politik since 2011. Maybe those songs need a rest and the band can pull out some of that newer material to play. That way they can connect with the audience better. Just some food for thought. Sorry for the long post guys! tl:dr= I love this thread! Can't wait to hear your opinions on this.
  22. That sounds awesome! Keep your eyes open. ;)
  23. I'll go in that thread and do it if you dare me to. :P
  24. Same could be said about U2. People say Bono is egostatisical. But that's because of Zoo TV and Achtung Baby. They don't understand that that was part of the whole theme.
