Damn! That is expensive! I see these are available through Bell Center exclusively and not specifically through AMEX at least for Montreal. As for Toronto, AMEX told me nothing - they said they don't have any information at all but hopefully by 9:30am tomorrow they will. I find that hard to believe. In any case, I'm going to try my best to get some 'good' seats which in my opinion makes no sense! There can't be good seats! :(

There is a VIP package - one for AMEX presale and a second one when the regular tickets go on sale. What we don't know is if there will be General Admission tickets available. I'm calling AMEX again now. Its 6:06pm and she didn't call me back yet! :P Oooh, Hazelton Hotel! Amazing!

I spoke with AMEX again today - they don't know anything yet. I am waiting for the girl I spoke with yesterday to tell me. The girl today said they probably won't find anything out until 10am - when they go on sale. She said Ticketmaster is the one who's got the ball - they are in full control of what happens. I said that was mental since AMEX is sponsoring this!! But nothing we can do. Again, the VIP package might not have anything to do with meeting them. They are not like the packages Neil Diamond or NKOTB have done through iloveallaccess.com. They might just be premier seats and a good parking spot or something. We won't know until they want us to know. :( Apparently they don't stay in the city anyway (fly back to NYC same night) but if they do open up a second show, they have to sleep here. So find out where they're staying and we can stalk them then. ;) I'll come with you! I don't know if they would do another MM again...maybe. There will be tickets for everyone....just gotta be sure to get online at the right time! And pray a little...lol

No, AMEX said that if there are GA seats at all, they would get them for me. Its a concierge service. Unfortunately, you need to have a Platinum card to get that, using a relative's card. Most expensive is apparently $131, but the VIP packages will definitely be more whether they are the AMEX VIP packages or the regular ones that go on sale on Saturday as well.

My pleasure to help out! Listen, is not MY card! My AMEX is an Air Miles card and doesn't get me too far these days. LOL I honestly don't think the pre-sale tickets are that great - I think its luck of the draw. I'm sure you will find some good seats when they release the regular seats! I have never bought tickets through pre-sale and I was so excited to get GA tickets a few years back. Best experience ever! Let's all WISH for GA together. :lol:

Apparently the preferred seats are apparently the good sections on the sides 108, 109, 118, 119 in the first few rows, like a Platinum box...the seats are not bad, but its not as intimate as you would hope. Not sure if its for Gold card holders too...perhaps just the higher level cards. I can't remember what the guy said to me. Either way, its all about preference. I would rather be in GA even if I could afford those crazy seats. The girl said if I want GA they can get them for me as part of their service but only IF they are available. Doesn't look like it so far. She is going to find out if they will have any - maybe they do know more than the regular Ticketmaster people because of all the rich people who are demanding these tickets. LOL She said she's had 70 people with Platinum and Centurian cards ask for the VIP packages already today. Its first come, first served. Let's hope they leave those GA tickets alone for us to snatch up. Good luck everyone! I hope to meet some of you guys at the show!

So the update is pretty much this: American Express VIP packages details are not available yet. They are not being handled by iloveallaccess.com. There are usually three options, but no one knows yet. It usually a guaranteed seat in 'front row' but honestly, if there is a GA pit, then I don't want to be BEHIND all of that! I want to stand up and see what's going on. The AMEX Platinum concierge lady I spoke with joked that often people pay all this money for these seats and end up sneaking into GA anyway! But the truth is they often get photo ops with the band and get a meal beforehand- not too shabby . Is that worth $275-$695 a ticket!? Apparently that's what Neil Diamond is charging! The 'Preferred seats' we see on the Ticketmaster sites are for those with Platinum and Centurian (Black!) AMEX cards. The code to enter is the code on the back of the actual credit card. If you're in Canada, its a different number than the US number. You must pay for the actual tickets with your AMEX in full to get the tickets. Apparently they are held for no more than two minutes. If you have access to the Platinum Concierge, they can buy the tickets for you if you give them permission. That includes instructions to get GA seats, if they are available. I honestly don't know if I trust them - do they have faster access than we do online ourselves if we have an AMEX card...not sure! The girl is calling me back tomorrow by 6pm with full details about what the VIP packages are and more detailed information about the actual venue and stage setup, which she hopes to have by then especially since the pre-sale is Wednesday. I will let you guys know what she says. Curious more than anything. I laughed when she asked if I wanted to give her authorization to get me the best package they had and also make a whole night of it with a driver, hotel room, etc. Um, really? Who do you think you're talking to, lady?! The first guy I talked to asked if I wanted to buy tickets to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra insane laser Christmas show. Someone's always trying to sell you something; can't fault them for trying. Haha.

Yes, you're right, but only for Platinum and Centurian (Black AMEX) cardholders. I called and spoke with the people at AMEX today and got a really helpful guy who explained how it all works. They say everything needs to be paid in full on the actual AMEX or it won't get processed. They are offering VIP packages as well, but not sure how much they are. Probably crazy expensive. They go on sale on Wednesday at the same time. Apparently the AMEX people get information early and can share it by tomorrow at 6pm with me. I will certainly let you guys know what this concierge Amex lady says when she calls me back tomorrow by 6pm. I told her all I was in GA tickets! Make it happen!!

Anyone have any information about these American Express VIP Packages? Curious to know what the prices are and what they include. Really, all I want is GA...they better do GA for the Toronto show! Are you guys listening? Pretty please...?? (Blink, blink, smiiiiile)

Okay, wow. Useless staff at Ticketmaster Front of the Line. I love when they go online to see exactly what you're looking at. I'm like, buddy, I am calling you because I need MORE information! Anyway, he was surprised to see the new VIP packages, but knew nothing more. He said maybe tomorrow there would be more information posted. He said the codes the others are talking about for AMEX front of the line are for discounts. Honestly, I think he was a moron. I'm going to call back again and see if I get someone else instead. If anyone else has information about these, PLEASE let us know! I put in a note to my friend who works at AMEX - she probably can't help, but who knows!

Did anyone notice the new AMEX VIP Packages that are going onsale Wednesday at the same time as the pre-sale?? Check the ACC listing on the Ticketmaster site...calling AMEX right now to get confirmation about what in the world that is!! If only I can find a freakin' number to speak to a person!

It's on the Ticketmaster site now - pre-sale via AMEX is December 14th at 10am. Live Nation is doing a pre-sale on Friday, December 16th at 10am as well via their App. Then general sales are Saturday, December 17th, 2011 via Ticketmaster.ca. I am sad its still ACC - wish they would have switched it. Now I'm bound to be standing in front of the tallest man alive! :( Unless SOMEHOW I end up for some fantastic seats. Hated the VIVA at ACC last time, sound was terrible up where I was (near the satellite stage they set up) and crowd wasn't into it at all, and if I'm not mistaken, they didn't do an encore that night either. The VIVA show at the Rogers Centre was phenomenal! Good luck to everyone getting seats. Maybe things will turn around and we'll get a GA after all! Edit: So I'm a bit slow and for some reason didn't refresh my page and get all this updated info. My spirits are looking up now! Told my hubby all I want for my birthday is GA seats!!!

Its such a gamble - you never know what you're going to get. I remember standing in line at our local music store to get tickets. Loved that and felt that at least I had a chance. I am really hoping I get something on Saturday for the Toronto show. Did any cities open up a second show? I guess we won't know until after general sales, huh?

I laugh everytime I see VIVA footage now - his hair was outta control! I definitely like him with the shorter, more styled hair and yes, I do notice his skin is visibly better. Perhaps he is using Gwyneth's Clarisonic...;)

They did the Grammys in 2009 with Chris starting on Piano with Lost and Jay Z then they did Viva with a t-shirt that was too short. I remember thinking um, Chris, I love you, but your shirt is too small!! I was thinking maybe they would perform with Rihanna on that show...

Haha! I got my Argos tickets too! Forgot about that! I never went, nor did I care. At least I had my general admission tickets! I remember being so worried the tickets would be awful and I wouldn't be able to see anything. Once we got there, I looked at hubby and said, shit, now we can't see Coldplay any other way! This is amazing!

I think its going to happen with at least CB...took three months for Paradise to hit number 1 in the UK...Either CB or Princess of China. I think CB will do it though...best damned song in a long time. How can you not want to jump when you hear it? :D

Oh definitely - General admission is all I want! I will definitely let you know. It turns out the Canadian shows are all pre-sale (except for Montreal) on the 14th, so the Coldplay site is correct, but not for Canadian shows. Still waiting for the Toronto show to be updated. I believe you're right, no pit if its ACC. I don't think they'll have any trouble filling Rogers Centre for two shows (banking on a second night considering the space they've left between the 23rd in TO and 26th in MTL).

I love that they did the wrist bands for this show too. Looks phenomenal in that huge stadium. Excited to see it live! Too bad the wristbands don't glow after the show.

I agree completely - I was there too, even at the back of the section it was great and I'm pretty short. Saw everything. I hope GA isn't actual seats and it is at the Rogers Center. Only time will tell. I guess they need to finalize these details by Wednesday when the other Canadian tickets go on pre-sale. They are hands down, the best live band. Can't wait to see them again!!

I couldn't agree more. I grew up listening to Neil Diamond and Julio Iglesias albums on repeat, my parents' music obsession - I know all the lyrics in English and Spanish too. :) Not to disrespect either of them, but I'm proud that Coldplay is my music obsession and both my kids adore them. Maybe one day they'll really appreciate it instead of rolling their eyes as my sister and I often do remembering the dining room family dance sessions to 'Love on the Rocks'. Feel like yesterday...

I spoke with AMEX yesterday, they said the AMEX Front of the Line tickets appear to be ready for tentative sale on December 14th, not the 12th. He said to keep checking online as that is where the final date will show up. Tried calling Ticketmaster directly but they closed an hour ago. I will call them first thing tomorrow to see if I can get some information. Sitting here getting anxious about this! Perhaps its going to be a Rogers Centre show as you guys are suggesting and they will try to push that Rogers tickets urMusic Wireless Ticket site independent of Ticketmaster...they certainly pushed it hard at the concert in the Lot at Much Music in September.

Anyone know why they STILL don't have anything up online for the Toronto show on July 23rd? It looks like all the other NA shows are there on Ticketmaster. AMEX told me pre-sale tickets on December 14th, but they really should let people know. Scared I'm not going to get any seats. Any information people might have about this show, kindly pass it along!
