Meh, I don't mind them doing this show. As long as they continue to create amazing music for years to come, I don't care what shows they do and how 'commercial' they become. I don't know of any band that wants to stay 'indie'...don't they all go into this to make music, make money and gain fans? They are brilliant and the world is really starting to catch on. I'm proud to have been riding the 'band wagon' since 2002, though. ;) At the end of the day, its just me and the boys on the way to work and from work every day anyway. Every single day since June. :D

Thanks for all the discussion and advice re: tickets. I was super concerned about Toronto not being online yet - at ALL, only on the Coldplay website. So crazy! I called AMEX today and they 'tentatively' have the Front of the Line tickets going on sale on December 14th NOT 12th at 10am. Not sure I believe it. The guy said to keep checking on their website as they are the official final decision on this type of thing. After reading this, I wonder if I should take my chances and wait for the regular Ticketmaster online insanity and panic (such an adrenaline rush!!) to get better seats. I would love General Admission like we had at the Rogers Center last time, but its at the Air Canada Centre instead. I'm a shorty as well...always seem to find the tallest person possible right in front of me! I wonder if they will add a second show - there seems to be time for it.

When you seriously might miss your flight home from Vegas not because you're gambling, but sitting in your hotel room researching the newly announced Coldplay NA tour!

I hope its general admission in Toronto. Saw them with Gen Ad at the Rogers Centre last time, damn was it amazing. I don't think I could sit in a seat somewhere. Anyone know why the ACC site, AMEX site or Ticketmaster site don't reference the Toronto show at all...NEED to get seats. That's all I want for my birthday!!

When you're in a conference at a trade show and the keynote speaker mentions Coldplay is their favourite band and you want to jump up and scream in delight! Woo hoo!

They look so happy. Not sure why it would make me happy to see them affectionate again now...I guess because they keep their relationship so secretive, the rumors about troubles are disappointing; I'd like to know things are all great with them.

I watched the clip just now and man, is Chris sweating or what! Seeing the pain in his face as he tried steer away from those questions was difficult to watch - I think he really wanted to get up and walk out but he knew he couldn't. I like that he can't seem to lie and wants to be honest. Obviously something is going on/went on with the sleeping pills. His fears of being a 'cliche' are so bizarre. I guess he inadvertently added a bit of mystery to the man that is 'Chris Martin'. I wonder if he is genuinely happy with the interview or feels naked now that he's exposed so much new stuff...you know US Weekly next week is going to say "Chris Martin has a drug problem, Gwyneth takes him to a kabbalah retreat..." Oy.

I will pay $1000 a ticket. I would save up every grubby penny I could for a small intimate concert. Unplugged. Chris said in previous interviews that they used to have drug problems but that's behind them. He's said several times that every cliche about a rock band is true...that says a lot in one statement. He never sleeps so I'm sure he's very good friends with Ambien as many people (celebrities) are. I still found it bizarre that he wouldn't answer his question - he seemed to get more uncomfortable about that than about Gwyneth. Gotta try to watch the video of this and see his expressions. Hands down, best Chris interview ever. Thank you kindly to whomever posted the audio.

I agree, listening to the rest. It really is one of if not the best Chris Martin interview I've heard.

Meh, its Howard Stern, I guess you could call him a dick. LOL Just Google him and you'll see, but that's part of his celebrity. Although in the first 30 mins I listened to so far, he's seemed pretty genuine, if that's possible for Howard to be. LOL I have enjoyed it thus far...can't wait to finish listening...and also eat my lunch as I'm chained to my desk listening to the Town Hall on XM. :-)

I can't believe its 2 hours! I hope commercial free. I'm not even done listening to the Howard Stern show yet. This is one unproductive work day but a fabulous one at that!

The album will get recognition next year, no doubt!

I honestly don't know if I would be able to contain myself if I were sitting in a restaurant with them! Did you hear any conversation? Any displays of affection? Always wonder how awkward it must feel with everyone knowing you're there together and trying to enjoy yourself. Meh, it can't be that bad...what a life they lead.

I didn't even realize I got a digital download with my special edition purchase, so I ordered from iTunes as well. I'm a little slow at this stuff...haha. I never got an email from Merchdirect but definitely got charged for it. The Oracle 'promised' again today they would be coming...it will make my singing of the song a lot more confident although its hilarious to guess and find out just how wrong I've been belting it out in the car and mumbling verses at work. I'm terrible with this kind of thing. ;)

I recall Chris saying the song came from (and I'm totally paraphrasing) the idea of cartoons getting run over in one scene and in the next scene, they shake it off and are back to normal....the incredible idea of being able to start over in our world intrigued him. The title Charlie Brown was an actual lyric in the original song, but they got changed and the title of the song never got changed because once a song is named, its hard to rename it, I believe it was Guy who said that last week.

I was at MAC today getting some makeup with my 18 month old daughter, when ETIAW came on. She looked at me with wide eyes and smiled. I was surprised to hear it too...hearing songs more and more now. So happy for all the success they are having with the album.

I agree completely! And for the record, I love my husband who I am proud to say strongly resembles Johnny Depp, my first star-crush. ;) Coming in at a close second is Chris and his new haircut...and all his talk about Gwyneth. There is something very sexy about a family man who love his wife.
