actually...the baby can be check for the Rh... the problem is when a baby has a different Rh than the mother. The mother could make antibodies to counteract the babies oposite rh. If this happens...well they can either do a blood transfution with the baby after its born....or still in the womb. Anemia and jaundice can occur if the blood types are different.
