Yeah! they sung Everybody Hurts at the music midtown! It was AMAZING. Even though REM had just split up, or that is what Chris said... that part was great.

God, I am so excited!!! And i am not even going to be there!!!!! For some reason I feel like this concert is going to be amazing!! like, a bit more than other ones maybe! I do not know. I am excited for other people i guess.... HAVE FUN EVERYBODY!!!! I WILL BE CHEERING FROM COSTA RICA!!! :)

jajaja yeah, i have seen people in videos that you can tell are not so much into either the band or the xylobands. There have been enough complains of people saying that some of the people in the front row where there "just because they could" and only knew like the most popular songs. So if i were able to go, i would just ask everyone i see! jaja And yeah... besides, do not they have the copyright thing and such? there were some posts earlier in the thread talking about that.

I know what that feels like. I saw them back in september, in the Music Midtown at atlanta, and they did not use confetti... much less xylobands, but at least i was in the first row in front of Guy. It was amazing. Now that i remember... ATL is the next concert... :'( I would have been going to that one!!!! UGH.

This is the people i was asking about earlier. It was a TV contest, and they won VIP passes and a chance to meet the band. So, what the tweet says is: "They wanted to meet #Coldplay, and we introduced them to Coldplay. Mission accomplished!" EDIT: I will envy them FOREVER.

There are some people (latinamericans) that won a VIP pass and such for tonight's concert... I wonder if any of them are in the forum... or know about it, at least. Have a blast, everyone!

I really disagree with the article's author opinion. The fact that a band has made changes to the way they sound does not mean they will basically suck and keep sucking after that. Even though their songs have changed, you can still realize it is Coldplay when it plays. Chris' voice is recognizable in all of their songs, the drums are pretty characteristic, without mentioning Jonny's guitar playing. The fact that the band is now more poplike makes me a bit happy because know their songs cover a bigger spectrum of emotions, if you would like to call it that. I have felt related to MX songs as much as I have to VLV, or Parachutes ones. I play whichever album i feel like playing in different occasions. They all make me happy. When I first listened to MX it felt amazing because I was so excited to finally hear it, and the songs in the record went according to that feeling. My heart was already beating fast, and listening to MX/HLH made me even happier and excited. Sure, I do not like the album as much as i like the previous ones, but the transition from X&Y to VLV to MX, has been amazing. In every album there have been lyrics that can amaze anyone, and there are a few that may not make any sense. But saying that the band sucks just because their sound has become too much poplike is a very big statement, and it is obvious that people that love this band will react they way they have. Just... do not say a band sucks just because, personally, you do not like their music anymore. Chris has already said that this is not a fascist regime.
