  1. 1. Hurts Like Heaven (+MX) 2. Paradise 3. Charlie Brown 4. Major Minus 5. Us Against The World 6. Princess of China 7. Don't Let It Break Your Heart (simpler production!!!!!) (+shorter intro) 8. U.F.O 9. Up In Flames 9. Every Tear Is A Waterfall (+MMIX) 11. Up With The Birds I REALLY like how perfectly MM fits right after Charlie Brown. Placed this way it really brights, but not as it's placed in the album... And ETIAW for the ending - so epic.
  2. Disappointment: the overproduction... it spoils the album :( Surprise: Us Against The World isn't overproduced :D I LOVE IT. I like the album, but seriously... stay away Brian Eno...
  3. ^ ^All of you who say VLV doesn't feel like Coldplay it is because you have this idea in your mind. VLV is Coldplay, and so is MX. I swear that if VLV didn't exist, MX would be the new "it doesn't feel like Coldplay" album. To make MX, VLV was necessary. It would go like this: "almost acoustic" Parachutes A Rush... "the same but overproduced" XY "let's try something new" VLV "let's bring further away this new sound" MX
  4. atm that's my rank... but i know it'll be different tomorrow at night haha :) Us Against The World Every Tear Is A Waterfall Charlie Brown Hurts Like Heaven U.F.O. Paradise Up In Flames Princess of China Up With The Birds Don't Let It Break Your Heart (overproduced... too much to let me enjoy it...) Major Minus (for the production only :/) MX A Hopeful Transmission MMIX
  5. First of all, VLV > MX. Life In Technicolor Lovers In Japan Cemeteries Of London Viollet Hill Charlie Brown Strawberry Swing Princess Of China 42 Yes Reign Of Love Don't Let It Break Your Heart The Escapist Death And All His Friends VLV: 10/13 MX: 3/13 Well... I even feel quite bad for MX... lol Mmmh... but seriously, it's quite stupid to put into this "vs." Chinese Sleep Chant, A Hopeful Transmission, Reign Of Love apart from Lovers in Japan... It just doesn't make sense and it's not fair to any of the albums :p
  6. I'm not a huge Coldplay fan. I love VLV and some songs of their previous albums and, although I own all them, I haven't listened a lot of their first stuff. So my opinion parts from VLV sound, which I really love. Well... talking about Mylo Xyloto, I think there's not a 10/10 song on it because it is overproduced. That doesn't mean it's a bad album - the opposite, it's really good. I really like Paradise (and I did since the first moment), Charlie Brown, UATW (the best one), ETIAW, UFO, DTIBYH and UWB. I don't like PoC, I think it's a cool song but I don't like the fact Rihanna is in it. Ok, it was ment to be a duet, blablabla, but I can't avoid it... f*ck Rihanna and her false recorded voice (100% autotune...). I would have preferred Mylo Xyloto to be a fresher album. If it was rawer, it would have been better. Anyway I still have to discover the songs, their sounds, understand them... So this opinion can change :) PS. Isn't it so so early to rate the album????? C'mon, months and months of work can't be judge in a day... Everything needs to grow, explode and then disappear or stay.
  7. So true. I like the album but it could have been excellent.... not just good - and it's for Brian Eno. It was unnecessary, but like.. REALLY unnecessary!!
  8. REALLY but REALLY overproduced. With a simpler production it would have been 10/10, seriously, but I think there are so much noises and zero space to breath in it... Shame. :( (Is it me or the drums sound way too much?)
