  7. From: http://trytocatchupmotherfuckers.tumblr.com So Coldplay rundown We got there long before the concert started but got comfortable in our seats and were all excited. Emeli Sande came on and she is amazing. I hadn’t heard of her until recently (or Marina…I know blasphemy) but I don’t listen to a lot of Britpop in general. But Emeli…what a voice!!!! She has an amazing voice. It was so beautiful. Marina came on and she made me smile. I LOVE HER LYRICS! They are so catchy AND cute. Then came the big moment. I saw a few of the bracelets flash before they came on and I saw what they looked like for the first time. Then the stage was all glowy and such and they came out….IT WAS AWESOME!!!! Songs I can remember them playing: Every Teardrop is a Waterfall (this was the last actually) Clocks Paradise (My tears, they fell!) Us Against The World The Scientist Princess of China (the dubbed Rihanna over them) Charlie Brown Don’t Let it Break You Heart Shiver Yellow Fix You (I cried during this one too!) Hurts Like Heaven Lovers in Japan Major Minus Speed of Sound U.F.O. Viva La Vida (this was amazing with all 20,000 of us sing the ooohs!) Violet Hill And yesterday as we all know was Will’s birthday! So tonight when they moved to the crowd (yeah they faked us out, said they were leaving and showed up in the middle of the crowd) they brought out a cake and had all of us sing Will “Happy birthday!” I laughed because Chris had to ask Will for the key. It was quite hilarious. But the confetti. And the beach balls. I can’t even explain how happy I still am. Tonight was just so beautiful. The music, I was totally lost in it! (My friend’s and my bracelets (mine was the green one!) this is a pic of the crowd when they were lit up! Chris trying to hold onto one the beach balls. Priceless moment! [ame= ] [/ame] The Scientist from last night’s concert!

  10. From: http://mishka1.tumblr.com/post/28565103885/chris-or-jonnys-guitar-pick-last-night-after-the Chris or Jonny’s guitar pick Last night after the concert, my friend and I went to the bus area to try to catch a glimpse of Coldplay. We both knew it wasn’t going to happen because Coldplay is such a popular band but I really wanted to. When else am I going to get the chance to see Coldplay up close. There were a couple of other people waiting. We started talking to the security guard and a guy with a British accent came up to us. He asked if we enjoyed the show. We told him it was awesome and then he placed a guitar pick in my hand. I told him thank you so much and he walked back to the buses. I wish I could of talked to him more. It was someone from the Coldplay crew because he had a walkie talkie and those things in his ear. I didn’t believe at first it was from Chris or Jonny but its pretty beat up. It has scratches on it and the Y is coming off a bit. Getting a guitar pick totally makes up for the horrible seats.
  11. From: http://larry-lovechild.tumblr.com/post/28566131755/coldplay-august-1st-2012 Coldplay - August 1st 2012 So I went to the Coldplay show last night, and it was incredible. Hands-down the best concert I’ve ever been to. I had floor seats, and I was sort of in the back. Chris called out several times that “We’re gonna give Detroit the best fucking show ever!” He changed the lyrics in one of the songs (I can’t remember) to, “A wednesday night in Detroit,” During “God Put a Smile on Your Face”, Chris chucked his guitar thirty feet into the air and caught it. During ”Paradise”, Chris skipped a few beats in the song, then called out, “See, this is all live!” During “The Scientist”, Chris said we should all go on tour with them. sign me up After the show “ended”, all hell broke loose when they appeared in the crowd, on one of the stairways in the aisle, with a piano and guitars. We all sand Happy Birthday to Will, who looked really really happy. THEN, THEN They ran down the aisle and down the aisle for the floor, and they were inches away from me. We had seats 3 and 4, and we were pressed up against the rope that security had put up to keep us from mobbing them. They all ran by, CHRIS FUCKING MARTIN HIGH-FIVED MY HAND, and I got it all on film (which i shall be posting momentarily). It was the best night of my life, even though now I feel like I was hit by a bus, and I’m still partially deaf.

  19. 31 July 2012 - submitted by Naomi, United Kingdom Q. Hey Oracle, I went to see Coldplay at the Emirates stadium in London on June 4th and outside before the show when everyone was queuing there was a man in an elephant suit with a sign, much like the one from the Paradise video, who was taking pictures with people. I'd like to know whether that was Chris (or any other member of Coldplay for that matter), it just seems like something he would do. I would just like to add that that was the best night of my life, even though it was such a blur I can't remember much of it! Many thanks if you can answer my question :D The Oracle replies: I'm sorry to disappoint you Naomi but no, that elephant costume didn't have any of the band members inside; they weren't at the stadium until not long before the show. July 31, 2012 - submitted by Iris, United States of America Q. Hi Oracle, After Coldplay's tour is over in November what happens to the roadies? Thank You :) The Oracle replies: They get to rest, go on holiday, return home to their families and then start all over again - with another band. There is a handful of our roadies who remain with the boys even when they're not touring but most other crew members will go on the road again. It's a hard life - really hard work but most of them wouldn't have it any other way. July 31, 2012 - submitted by Mitchell, United Kingdom Q. Hi Oracle, Just asking about the Paralympic concert. Will the band be performing just a few songs or will they be doing the MX set? I only really have a interest to see Coldplay so don't want to pay all that money if they sing 5 songs. How long will they be on stage? Also it is £100 in category C but where is that in the stadium? Thank you The Oracle replies: This is NOT a Coldplay show so no, they will certainly not be performing the MX set! There's a saying that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. This show is the closing ceremony so to be honest if you're only going for Coldplay, I think maybe you should give it a miss. That's not meant to sound as snooty as I am sure it does but I think feeling the spirit of the Paralympics is just as important as being a fan of one band asked to play the event, if you see what I mean? They may play one, two, three or more songs but it's not their gig. I have no idea where seats in category C are either but as £100 is a lot of money, I'd suggest only paying that if you really want to experience the whole thing rather than a tiny segment of it.

  21. Blog post from: http://gimmesummeryourlove.tumblr.com/ Coldplay: Live at TD Garden in Boston on July 30th 2012 So, I never do a concert review or any sort of reflection after I see a show and believe me I’ve been to so many but after last night, I think I owe just that to Coldplay for their incredible, unreal, beautiful show at the TD Garden last night in Boston. I’ve Been listening to Coldplay for the past 8 years of my life, they’ve been my favorite band for as long as I can remember. I still remember the first time I heard one of their songs, it was “Clocks” when it first came out off their smash album “A Rush of Blood to the Head” and two years later I started to really get into them. Seeing them in concert last night was unreal and felt like a dream. Coldplay’s Mylo Xyloto Tour rolled into Boston on July 29th, for a two night stand in the mecca of New England, I got the pleasure of going to arguably the better night which was July 30th. Chris Martin frontman of the band told the crowd after finishing the opening song, “Hurts Like Heaven”, “Twenty years from now, when we’re asked what our favorite show we ever played was, I would love to say that it was Boston on a Monday night in 2012” They immediately smashed into their 2002 hit “In My Place”. In addition to Coldplay’s wild, trippy light show that has been apart of their show since their tour back in 2002, A unique glowing wristband, cleverly named the “Xyloband” was introduced to fans for their current tour as a way to get their fans to feel as if they were part of the show, and also as a promotional item for their upcoming “Coldplayfilm”which rumor has it was filmed a few nights ago in Montreal. The Mylo Xyloto tour is one of a kind, I cannot compare it to anything i’ve ever seen. It was a colorful blend of music, light and sound and a one of a kind show, They smashed through some of their biggest hits as well as moved around the arena, including an acoustic set in the Loge are of the arena far beyond the stage. They managed to bring the crowd on a journey through music in just under an hour and a half. It almost felt like time travel, cleverly enough they opened the beginning of the show with the playing of the “Back to The Future” theme. I believe overall Coldplay proved themselves to be among the world’s greatest bands last night with a breathtaking show that I and the some 20,000 others in attendance with me last night experienced. Hats off to Coldplay for throwing one hell of a party last night in Boston! Cheers!
  22. Ok are you all ready for (yet) another back pic??? ARE YOU READY?? (hope that works, Row?) It is not any closer though. Source: http://andintheendwewillfallapart.tumblr.com/coldplayconcert Also: DAYUMN.
  23. Blog post from: Suzanne On Tour... (a blog you love) On Seeing Coldplay in Boston Kicking off Coldplay's second show in Boston last night, Chris Martin told the audience the band would perform the best show they've ever played. Maybe he says that in every city that Coldplay hits, but Monday's show was really something to remember. The lights, the energy onstage and the mix of old and new songs made it one of the best concerts I've ever seen live (and I've seen U2, so that's saying something). Looking around the Garden at the blinking wristbands each concert-goer received, it looked as if the arena had been filled with thousands of decorated Christmas trees. The show was unreal, Coldplay performed far beyond the point that I expected and they gave a performance in Boston that'll be pretty hard to beat for the rest of the tour.
  24. Oh no, I never meant to cause any trouble! :) So now we have 2 amahzing pics of his back but none of his chest? For shame.
  25. Have fun tomorrow everyone! I will be out at a dinner for a special occasion so I wouldn't be able to compile twitter updates tomorrow...If there was any show I really wanted to go to, it was this one :)
