So Far... Mogwai - it was solid record in terms of the heavy use of electronics, but not the best thing I've ever heard, but good music Thee Mt. Zion... - Wow, all that rock influence really pays off on this. Congrats to them Against Me! - I liked it a lot, but my opinion might be different if this weren't the first time listening to them Warpaint - Some were memorable, it was a strong C average to me, definitely a music grower Stephen Malkums and the Jicks - solid album, doing what he does best, super Dog Bite - Some nice shoegaze to start the year, an improvement from their last record

Finally giving my review on my mixtape. Been trying to compose something on it, having so much school going on. Well, I hope you're seeing this Mr. mixtaper. Mixtape Thoughts: Thanks on the name compliment. As for the world events representing the album cover, I never thought the situation in Korea was like another Cuba Missile Crisis. Thinking on it, it could have been. Anyways, aside from nuclear explosions, this mixtape felt a bit more than just the simple representation of 2013's "best" pop and alternative rock. It felt like the story of a musical trip between Earth and space. Or at least I felt like I was somewhere else besides where I was. I give props for good song choices and cohesiveness. It catches my attention, though I would have liked a more gritty sound overall. Generally, to be honest, not much of it was memorable to me for the exception of a good bunch on here, but maybe finding out who the artists are might shed light on what I was listening to. The Mixtape: Overall Feelings: There was enough to keep my attention, I'd definitely want to know the artists and such. It was a solid listening with not so good songs and some memorable songs. In the end, I would listen to at least 2/3 of the songs. I'm sure this isn't the best review or writing I've ever done, but I can't leave you wondering whether you did your job to get me to like it. You did for the most part, though I'm not the biggest fan of accessible pop and alternative rock. :D Have a good holidays. :santa:
