You do more good than you could ever know with your music, your love, and your humanitarian works. May gratitude shine upon you in return and fill your hearts and lives with joy! Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  2. Thanks, Sophia! Today, we attended a wonderful tribute celebration to my friend. It really eased the pain, as she even recorded a message to be shown, where she talked about her love of life and gratitude for friends and family. It was nice to see her family and friends that I knew, and of course, her spouse. She truly touched many, many lives, and lived well. I am glad that this topic showed how supportive the Coldplayer community is. I have been around here a few years, and seen this many times. I firmly believe that the band has attracted fans like themselves. It feels like family here. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  3. Me, too! Working as fast as I can...remember,all, good things come to those who wait...even if they didn't choose to wait. Sorry! Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  4. Thank you...and how did you know that @YeahwedoYeahwedo quoted the same line in my Secret Santa card.LOL!
  5. I am so blessed to have such good friends in my fellow Coldplayers. Your messages have really helped. We celebrate her life Saturday.
  6. What a neat hobby - please post other pictures of your work in the media section. Based on what you sent me, I'm sure they are masterpieces. So am I - I keep admiring them. I am truly a very, very lucky Coldplayer. It is making me think harder about how I can do something so special for my secret Santa match. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  7. What a cool observation! We really are!! I think that is what Coldplay are all about, so no surprise that they've attracted an army of like-minded fans here. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  8. Hurts Like Paradise, This is beautiful beyond words. I need to read and re-read it. It speaks to my heart. I have long been a believer, and was an active churchgoer until the last few years. I am feeling lost at the moment, and your poem brought me back to how I can relate to God and call upon him more again. I feel like He just tapped me on the shoulder and asked me to read your thread to discover this poem...almost like a roadmap. I'm so grateful! Thank you!! Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks to all who have responded so compassionately about my friend. As those know who have PMd me she died on Thanksgiving, the day after I said goodbye. She was just 51. I am doing ok as it hasn't yet sunk in yet. I just know that she is in a better place. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10154597971105540 Mobile Link: https://www.facebook.com/deborschneider/posts/10154597971105540 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Truer words were never spoken. I am basking in all of your live. I keep thinking my friend would love to read these posts. Your love really references her spirit. Thanks again, everyone!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I appreciate everyone's concerns about my friend. It goes to show what a kind group Coldplayers are. I saw her on Weds afternoon. She passed the next night. On a happier note, I was SO lucky to get @YeahWeDo_YeahWeDo for my secret Santa. Just LOOK at what she sent me!! [emoji847]. The card in the backdrop shows the medieval doors found where she lives (I don't want to divulge her location without her ok.) I especially loved the letter on the back of that card that describes where she is and how the gifts reflect that location. If you look closely at the second picture, you will see her adorable drawing with carefully cut out pictures of the guys: Chris the elf, Johnny the teddy bear (too cute for words!!), Will the left snowman and Guy the right snowman. How clever!! The stars on the tree in the background of the first pic are both origami from ASFOS and woven, an ornament typical of her area. Here's another really clever gift: By the card of the guys is an Advent calendar in the area language with cute pictures for each day, and the translation she kindly put on the back of each page. What's an amazing coincidence is the X&Y bookmark she meticulously cut out in little colored squares in Baudot code. The back has my name in colored code! I don't know how it was even possible to cut squares that tiny and glue them. My hands would be a mass of colored glue!! Last year I gave my Secret Santa a cross/stitched Baudot code towel of X&Y. @YeahWeDo_YeahWeDo also cross-stitched and made me this beautiful, double-sided Coldplay key chain. I can't tell you how much this gift means to me! I will treasure each carefully chosen piece. A million thanks!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I got my package today! It came at such a perfect moment, when I was down after losing a great friend to a long fight with cancer on Thanksgiving. Thank you for your thoughtfulness, @YeahWeDo_YeahWeDo. There is SO much in it that I want to lay it all out nicely and take a picture in daylight to send here tomorrow. You just made my whole Christmas!! Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  13. ....Friends til we die.... you give me this feeling of Everglow.... ]Mourning a friend whom I saw yesterday who is very near death after suffering from cancer. These words and the new version are my only comfort. Paradise,,, also. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk

  15. Dear fellow Coldplayers, This request may seem odd to ask on Coldplaying. But you are such a compassionate, smart, creative group that I value your opinions. The past two days have been so sad. My long-time, great friend that I have written about who had stage 4 Lung Cancer for six years, had taken a turn for the worst. This was not unexpected at some point in the next few months, but so sudden as we just talked a bit over a week ago and planned to get together last Weds, when I learned she entered hospice at home. Hospice is usually six months before death or less. But I just learned she has stopped eating and is only in bed. I'm seeing her Weds afternoon to say goodbye. My heart is so broken. What do you say to someone who meant so much to you that you won't see again? I've never been in this situation. Any help appreciated. I'm trying to hold it together until after I see her. With my back only two weeks or so after surgery, it really hurts to cry. But holding it in brings its own kind of pain, as I am much worse today than I have been the past week. 16. We saw John Oliver last New Year's Eve and love his show. He is hilarious. I saw this clip about Coldplay before and I laugh at it and take it with a grain of salt. His humor is often irrelevant and not meant to be taken seriously. His opinions on topics about the world, on the other hand, are serious and thoughtful. I agree that lots of media use Coldplay as a punchline. It's an "easy" target because it is an overdone joke that needs no explaining. I take it that they know the joke is overdone, so people know it is not real. I am not feeling good right now, so I should stop posting. I am struggling to make sense, LOL! 17. Me too! Does anyone know where the thread will bbe to watch? Sorry, I'm so behind here. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  18. @I ran away, thank you for reminding me how we respond here to others opinions. I have said to my husband many times, and been vocal here, (your paragraph abour Trump pretty much says it better than I put it), "How could anyone overlook these things about him? What werer they thinking?" I thank Coldplayer 1984 for one of the best-written, personally honest answers to that question. I understand your rationale, even though my views may be very different. You helped me understand. This past week, I have read or watched whatever I can to try to see where this "movement" came from. Watching Trump on 60 Minutes last night reminded me of a side of him I saw when he used to have The Apprentice show. He is capable of much more rationally stating his views. While candid, he would also not stand for mean behavior from celebreties on his show (well, there is Omarosa....WHAT??) Yet, there is simply no arguing with the fact that his supporters bet the country's future on the least qualified, prepared candidate ever. As a Human Resources and Learning professional by career, I am blown away that the position of leader of our nation is not rooted in qualifications or competencies. That is not how any informed business hires people. So I blame our election process for what just happened, not any individual voter. In fact, in made me sad to read how many voters were afraid to tell people they supported him. He may have some good qualities. I just cannot ever support someone who treats peopls as he does. 19. How cool! That is so lucky for your match to get a bit of both. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  20. Got my match!! Scheming Away! I hope my match understands that I will do my best to make them something unique and special while I recover from back surgery. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Thank you! I was feeling better today a bit until I nearly took a bad fall. That's nothing: I am watching Quantico and they were teaching FBI recruits about Extreme Interrogation methods. When they demonstrated loud music, the subject/recruit said of the music "That's not bad, ever been to a Coldplay concert?" :( Big cry! Worse, the recruit was British. 22. Thanks for your prayers everyone! More about how I'm doing to come from I Ran Away and Nie. Please pray that the wrecking ball known as Donald Trump doesn't destroy our beautiful world. His election caused me a huge pain surge and setback. I always say "You need to let people grow and change." Not when it is their character you are talking about. This man has shown his true color: Deep, dark black, not like lovely dark skinned people but like a black hole in the universe. There, now it is time for my pain pill and more rest. Goodbye for now, Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Yeah!! TWO MORE INNINGS AND HISTORY IS MADE! My 88 year old mom has lived for them to win the Series! My second cousin just went down to Wrigley and wrote his dad's name on the chalk tribute wall. My cousin and mom were bonded over the Cubs as kids. He is looking down and cheering like crazy!! 25. Thanks for the good thoughts! I LOVE the lyrics[emoji441][emoji190] !! Tomorrow at 11am I go in, surgery is at 1pm. Cheering for the Cubbies to win the World Series! Told my sister if I kick the bucket tomorrow, to have a plane fly over the Coldplay concert next year at Soldier Field and drop some of my ashes when they shoot off the confetti canons!
