Yeah the video is not in sync with the music at that point. You can tell by looking at his right hand. It does not match the strumming you hear at all. Having said that, you can play Am on the 5th fret like such 5 5 5 7 7 5 Since Chris is not playing barre chords, the high E string was probably not fretted: 0 5 5 7 7 5

Can I ask what sounds wrong? If you want it to sound just like the original then you'll have to play it like Chris does
