I don't know why people are being uptight about it, I feel like many are going against it just because it is Rihanna this big pop star and to them it cheapens the band but I think the song is great. And Chris is right, when he discusses Rihanna he is enthused because for a pop star she does push boundaries and is versatile. Their voices work very well together.

I don't understand the hate, it's definitely not one of their records with depth but I mean people need to start getting lost in the music more often, the melody is great IMO. I play it on my beats and it's just booming out of my Macbook with such intensity I'm in another world for those 4 minutes. And Chris wailing around at the end is freaking epic!

Hey guys, my name is Curtis. I'm 18 and I'm a student studying Political Science and Communications at the University of Ottawa, I'm a huge Coldplay fan (B-Sides and all) but I've only just thought about joining a forum, I'm pretty slow. I don't have enough friends or followers on Twitter who appreciate Coldplay at the same level so I thought I'd give this a go, so far looks like a really great forum! :cool: Btw totally unrelated but do you guys know any black guys that love CP? I thought the video was dope! One of their best for sure, visually appeasing. I actually wish it would have been more of a mini movie, Rihanna and Chris had good chemistry.

I think Princess of China is really cool, it's not like Coldplay is taking this direction permanently. Rihanna is their first feature, so it's a nice change of pace.
