  1. I honestly never care about reviews, as long as I know what I think. And this is hardly a review.
  2. Maybe not but I did look it up and I love the record so I downloaded it! Thanks.
  3. Aerosmith vs. Paul McCartney
  4. When I say records I mean singles, I agree there aren't many solid pop albums out as of late.
  5. VLVODAAHF 34 AROBTTH 16
  6. I'm still loving Mylo Xyloto, but I would love a new EP to be out by the fourth quarter
  7. A Lady GaGa collaboration alone would be horrendous, don't even give me the thought of a video. :P
  8. He's in it for like 30 seconds.. I don't see the need for you to clarify that he is on the record but ok.
  9. I watched your review and I honestly liked and understood it but I love the video. I am a Rihanna fan as well though and you did say her fans would enjoy it. Definitely not a standard Coldplay video so I got it when you said it's not good for a Coldplay video. I disagree about Rihanna looking bored, I'm familiar with her work and to me it came across more like intensity rather than being bored. She has this chilling effect she does with her mannerisms when she wants to convey something to the audience (clearly she failed though I guess lmao) and I thought she did a good job in the scenes where she and Chris were kneeling, I thought they played the part of bruised but attached lovers..It could have been better though.
  10. Sick, I'm from Markham too!
  11. Canadian in the house! ;)
  12. Clocks 27 Death And All His Friends 25 Politik 29 Violet Hill 22
  13. Kanye is my favorite rapper. His douchebag attitude can grate on my nerves but his music is real, and not only as a rap artist but his beliefs on popular culture and expanding what the Hip-Hop community is comfortable with i.e. genre experimenting, fashion, culture etc I think he sets a great example in that regard, especially me as a black guy who does like things like Coldplay, The Black Keys and H&M clothing instead of the baggy clothes and gangsta shit lol. Also every single one of his albums are amazing. Truly truly outstanding, and so are his ventures with the artists on his GOOD music label. A couple of years ago he released a ton of free music before his album came out and it made up an amazing body of work, better than what most rappers sell for actual money nowadays.
  14. Now I'd venture to guess that if there is one genre that most of you guys are not fond of or even look down on, it's Pop music. But I thought it would be interesting to see out of everything what are some pop records or pop artists you can really vouch for... or even just tolerate. I'm actually curious to know about what you guys will answer :)

    Sparks vs. Animal
  16. I love that last part, some fans really are behaving like she hijacked a session and placed herself on the album. :laugh3:

  18. Exactly. It's hypocrisy, but ultimately it's clear as day why this record has been crucified by fans. Rihanna is on the record, in the video and on the album. I say deal with it, I personally am very fond of Rihanna so that's easier for me to say. But I also happen to respect and agree with Chris' thoughts on her and the inclusion of her in this era. It's not like she was desperate and got on the record because they exploded with the Viva La Vida era leading to the pop stars wanting to work with them. He approached her and wrote it intentionally for her. Anyhow I'll stop ranting. It just seems like I'm the only major Coldplay fan that loves the record so I have to stand harder for it :P

I wish the boys had their own personal twitter accounts too.
  20. Keane and Maroon 5 are in my top 5 favourite bands. Keane came so hard with Perfect Symmetry they really got me with that, but before that Somewhere Only We Know and Bad Dream were stellar records I'd play all the time
  21. Haha this thread is for me! I'm a black guy and Coldplay are my boys, I'm talking every single, every B-Side, every album! I rock hardcore with them. They're my favorite band of all-time out of ALL genres. But I do mainly listen to Hip-Hop and R&B.
  22. Mine are Crests of Waves and Princess of China (Invisible Men Remix) as of late
  23. The African chanting isn't really my thing but I agree that this is epic! Things like this re-affirm how beautiful music is.
  24. I completely agree
