We all have opinions. Ours just differ. Nothing wrong with that. Call me old fashioned, but I will never understand giant arenas selling out to go watch a person touch buttons on his keyboard on stage. I just don't get it and never will. But there are obviously millions of people who love that, which is perfectly fine! Whatever floats your boat. Disclaimer: Of course I understand this isn't what the boys are doing, but I can assure you, los unidades isn't far from it. Ill just say this. There is something about hearing those computer generated synths and beats and effects, that just scream "Hey, this is artificial, manufactured tunes for the masses". If that makes me an old "get off my lawn" type guy, then so be it. If I never get that authentic, intimate sound that was created from 4 guys playing real, physical instruments then I am thankful for the albums they left me before they transitioned into this phase.

A few things, It's nice of everyone to try and put a positive spin and have a positive outlook on this but there's no other way around this song being complete shit. Everyone posting about liking it on their third or fourth time, I would argue you just are listening to it with blinders on knowing it is the boys behind it, which naturally makes you want to like it (Like I've done with their singles on AHFOD and MX). If this song were another group entirely, I'd never listen to it again. On a more positive note, if they are truly separating Coldplay from this pop nightmare under a new name, let's thank the heavens for that. I do however feel that this move is a few albums and a few singles too late. What I mean by this is, the tracks/singles on AHFOD, Ghost Stories, and MX that were basically EDM pop could have been used for this project and not tarnished the Coldplay brand, as I feel a lot of the world who don't follow the band closely and the newer generation have now associated the band with that sound (pop) entirely. The only music the general public hear are the bands singles, which have all been extremely pop oriented the last few albums. So I am not even sure this name change is going to even differentiate the two bands for most people, like it would us. Lastly, I am in full agreement with the confused Coldplayers on just how this music gets approved by all 5 of the members. To approve it under a new name is one thing, but this is extremely similar to some of the pop we've heard the boys release under Coldplay. When I hear Chris say things in interviews like he is on a Paul Simon binge and see him cover him in the BBC Lounge, I get SO excited because I think to myself, " YES, he is out of this pop nightmare and finally being inspired by true artists again, this means a Oldplay or even real music album is coming back " , then his next release is something like what we have here. It makes no sense to me. We have had so much new content from the band over the last 5-7 years and while there is some of what I wish for mixed in there, I still hope for the day where they turn the page on this chapter. Sincerely, An Oldplayer

Funny and Cool Stuff during Coldplay Concerts/Performances. Messing up lyrics, etc.
Easily the coolest moment out of any Coldplay show I have been to. Being from Georgia, Chris always sings us a little rendition of Georgia on my Mind each time he is here (he did this show as well). However, this moment was on another level considering REM is from here. I am sure most of you are familiar with Chis's relationship with Michael Stipe of REM. Chris always finds a way to come up with the most sincere, real moments. You can imagine the level of fandom I went to while this was unfolding. Edit: I remember looking forward to seeing UATW for the first time live here, and he played this in its place. I think I got over that real fast.

A Head Full of Dreams Film - In Cinemas Nov.14
I see a theater in my city, but when I click to go to buy the tickets, it says no showings available. I am sure it is just the theater not having them available yet.

Thanks for the reply, I could definitely swing it financially it's just that silly feeling you were referring to. I am on the fence with all the reasons you listed, almost to a T. I am also that young age (26) you were referring to when you didn't go, thanks for sharing and I think I'm going to commit and just go for it. Life is for living a wise man once said. Much regards, Chandler

I had you guys in mind (other countries who aren't as fortunate with tour dates) as soon as I hit submit! I'm glad you wrote what you did and kind of put things in perspective for me. Your message was well intended and definitely has made an impact on whether or not I'll bite the bullet and travel to see the boys one last time on the grand stadium stage. By made an impact, I mean I'm probably going to do it!!! I'm thinking Boston for a concert and a Red Sox game the following night? Why not! Now to convince the wife... Much love.

Very Disappointed Southeastern U.S. Fan
I just wanted to post and see if there is anyone out there who is feeling the same sadness I am about these North American Tour locations. I am just very disappointed there have been absolutely no dates anywhere near me on this tour. I am near Atlanta and I have never seen a tour that has not come within at least a respectable driving distance city from me. They have announced absolutely nothing in the Southeastern U.S. (Miami, but that's just as far as across the country from me). So it looks like I will be missing a Coldplay tour entirely for the first time ever, which is very unfortunate. Especially considering this is more than likely their last large, all the bells and whistles tour. I just cannot reason spending the 600-700 on airfare and another 300-500 for decent tickets plus the cost of hotel (For my wife and I). I have been checking so often over the last year to hope and pray for new dates somewhere near me, but had no luck. When they announced the second leg of the North American Tour and I saw that it was essentially the SAME cities they hit the first leg, I nearly lost my mind! Come on boys, your first real welcoming American gig was in Atlanta, we deserve a spot on the tour! Sincerely, your biggest fan in Georgia! :(

i got the first lower level seats, 125 a ticket, 150 after fees. Not bad, and wont have to deal w the field madness, although I would if I could, didn't wanna risk getting worse seats. :dozey:

When will the North American tour of AHFOD happen?
I was just going by the Facebook Events the official page set. Which were the correct time zone that the show was in at that date. But ticketmaster is showing all evening dates. So, looks like evening shows after all.

When will the North American tour of AHFOD happen?
Anyone else notice on FB they listed all these as daytime concerts? With 1:00 P.M. starts and 4:00 P.M. starts? Or am I looking at that wrong.

Finallly here
Been looking at coldplaying everyday now for about 4 years and can you believe I'm just now joining??? Haha well I'm for sure a true coldplayer and been to 6 shows now and counting. Already been searching through all the threads finding some new things I haven't come across yet and excited about it. I'm from Augusta, GA. Seen the boys play 3 times in Atlanta, twice in Charlotte and once in Tampa.
