I didn't see them in the audience once. Only the intro interview and the performance. There was about half hour I missed, but I left my bf on the look-out. He saw nothing. I kinda miss the 2003 Grammy's.. Coldplay were all over the place that time around.

Aww Steph! I so, so feel you. I wish the boys would do an interview with anyone like right now and say they're happy with the performance and glad U2 won or something. Then I could at least feel better..

To be honest, HTDAAB could be renamed "All You Can't Leave Behind - The Lost Songs Session" and it would suit perfectly. That album is not that Grammy worthy. Disclaimer: Really pissed off right now and not a U2 fan at ALL until further notice. :lol:

Fuck man. I hate things like that. Relatively speaking, you can compare every single performance you see to passed ones. Especially when you're going back 349008849 years. If Chris had just stood there singing, they would probably compare it to another U2 performance where Bono stood while singing. It's a good thing I don't have a gun. I could really shoot some of these people writing crap like that right about now! :lol:

Me too. Reading through all the forums I go to (not CP forums), everyone hated Coldplay's performance yesterday. :embarrased: I'm officially depressed. Anyone has some Paxil I can borrow? :disappointed:

:lol: I don't think it's just an American thing, it depends on the person! Most of my friends aren't into U2, but then again they aren't into Coldplay either. The U2 love thing is just what happens when a band has been around for that long and you have a preference for them because of that and because they were such breakthrough artists in their earlier days. They're not breaking any new ground now, but a lot people still act as if they do. It really sucks because if U2 had made X&Y and Coldplay had made HTDAAB, the Grammy results would've probably been the same. Artist preference wins over actual records, now. I don't know why I bother watching.

I was thinking.. does anyone find it odd that U2 were nominated in 2005 and now again in 2006? Not to mention that they won for "Best Rock Song" and "Best Rock Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group" in 2005. It's just highly unfair.. :embarrased:
