^ Yeah it seems the CP performance was just not memorable because it was just them performing Talk. But after hearing the backstage interviews, they wanted it that way, just the four of them. No I like U2 and I certainly didn't want them to leave empty handed. But to give them every Grammy they were up for, it's highly exaggerated. I would not call HTDAAB the best 2005 album for a long shot (most of tracks on there sound like songs that could easily be in All That You Can't Leave Behind) but hey your mileage can vary. I found Arcade Fire and the Franz boys' music very refreshing last year, both with great albums that should've gotten some recognition. But what's done is done.. though I don't know if I'll be watching the Grammy's again. 3 hours I'll never get back.. :lol:

I would've liked if they shot to some of the other artists after Coldplay's performance. Just to see their reaction, to get a feel for what they thought. I know with the 2003 performance, they shoot to Godsmack right after, and you can read one the guys lips, he says "That was awesome, wasn't it?" and his band member next to him nods. It has nothing to do with the actual performance but love that part. (Even though I probably can't tell you not one song from Godsmack but who cares! :lol:)

But you can understand why we'd be upset if an non-deserving album won every single category right? Not to mention that U2 already won 2 last year! It's very disappointing, from a Coldplay fan's perspective. And I would've much rathered seeing Kanye or Arcade Fire win over U2. Those albums were actually pretty deserving. Please don't be upset over what we wrote here, give us a little break. We're in mourning! :lol:

Aw, don't misunderstand an_cat. U2 is great band (I really do love them..just not right now! :lol:) but I don't see how HTDAAB was such a ground breaking album to snag every category. I mean, U2 themselves were surprised. I can't understand how Coldplay (or any other well deserving band) was completely shut out over a good but not but in any way mind-blowing album.

It did look kinda horrid at the Grams. I'm surprised Gwyneth hasn't made him cut it yet, actually!
