I remember reading that when Chris was taking guitar lessons he found it was easier to play the right handed way, so that his left hand will be on the frets and can work faster or something...

I know, that wasn't nice, got my hopes up for nothing... shame on you :P

I would also buy an acoustic first, that's what I did, get the basics down learn how to play all the chords and progressions and then you can start to play tablature with an electric.

Hi all, I know that there is a version of this song on guitar that has the guitar tuned down half a step and played with Am and E and C, but watching several videos of Chris Martin playing this song live he does not use that, I was wondering if anyone has the 'real' version that Chris uses?

Yeah, but this is extremely hard to be able to coordinate both hands to play Clocks that fast, lots of practice :D

If you ask me, it looks, and sounds like he's playing the exact same thing as in the right hand, D# , A# , G - C# , A# , F - C natural, G# , and F

How would you explain when he messes up then? Whenever he messes up you can clearly hear nothing is playing in the backround. And as far as that video that you saw, the quality on that video is really really poor, and the timing was off.

chris likes to have his chords similar to eachother, there usually really easy to get to which I'm sure makes it easier for him to play and sing. Like AROBTTH, he uses Am, then moves his ring and pinky finger to the third fret of the 5th and 6th string, so there's really not alot of moving.

Hey, I'm not sure who originally made this song, but I have this song covered by Coldplay, and it sounds beautiful the way he plays it on the piano, does anyone have any idea what the tab for this song is, or if you even have a sheet for it, that would be great

it's a different time signature, since you're new at music, you are probably familiar with 4/4 time. 4/4 time means that the measures have four counts, and that a quarter note gets the beat. 6/8 time means there is six beats in a measure, and an eight note gets the beat, thus resulting in a faster paced music usually. sorry if that doesn't make sense, buts that's my best way at explaining it for you.
