Wow, the Noteburg described Politik in the PERFECT way... monumental and epic... it truly is a great song with a sense of importance. I would have to say the scientist tho cuz it inspired me to play piano... AROBTTH will prob always be my favorite album no matter how good the new stuff is

download the live tracks... you don't even understand how great this album will be until you've heard square one. then you will truly die from anticipation

SOS isn't that great... it's the truth... when I listened to the live tracks I was absolutely blown away by Square One, White Shadows, and A Message... SOS struck me as the most conventional and least interesting. But I set high standards for Coldplay and this song is far from complete rubbish

On page two Chris makes some crack about getting paid by Oxfam... I just wanted to clarify for the purposes of my own paranoia that this was a joke and the Make Trade Fair campaign is something the band does because they believe in it... I am sure it is but someone please reassure me this is just Chris' sense of humor

I expected people to bash my earlier post... maybe I shouldnt care about Coldplay on the OC. I just remember the band saying back in the Parachutes-era that putting a song in a movie or TV show would be cheating the fans who bought the record.... I guess they don't necessarily believe that anymore... I must admit, however, that it was a thing of beauty when the movie Garden State opened with Don't Panic... I am all for a band contributing a song to a movie that means something like garden state did

Okay, I hate to be another downer.... but seriously... seeing my all time favorite band on the OC in fucking heartbreaking. The reason I love Coldplay is because they are unique. Their music means something. It is sincere. To appear on the OC brings them closer to the pop culture mess that I once thought they could fix. Maybe its different for Americans, because most people who are complaining are from America. Pop culture here is probably worse than anywhere else and thats why Coldplay fans from America cringe when they hear that the band will have music on this show. Saying that all bands sell their music is not a good defense, because, as I think we can all agree to, coldplay is not just another band. They should have more integrity.

Albie knows her stuff.... I would agree w/ her on the four singles and definetely on What If as the next one.... white shadows in my opinion has single potential

Clocks will be forever popular but I'd rather the album be remembered for the scientist... this song basically reintroduced the ballad (specifically the piano ballad) to music... think of what's happened since.... Keane, Embrace, the return of "glum rock" as this very website stated... the scientist had a mega impact

I hope they don't overproduce it w/ too many strings and stuff... hopefully they let the instruments shine through... the live version seemed heavy on the strings in my opinion
