Even just a single to build up some anticipation would be great, but realisticly I don't think that the album will be out until April or May. But your right, we are closer and if we keep ourselves occupied it will be here in no time.

Thats why I love coldplay..........because they are such....a band. They just have really good chemistry (except in the studio) and are just all around great guys!

I just hope they are working this in with other dates. Also March 12th they will be at KROQ so hopefully even if the album isnt released until May or next year :rolleyes: or whatever, then we might here some new material by then! :lol:

I found this article on a website from a little while ago: Does this mean that old songs will be back on the new record, I dont think so. But it does mean they were considering it. Also, I find it hilarious that Ken Nelson thought the new album was going to be better than AROBTTH and then they scrapped it! :lol: The band is in a Liverpool, England, studio with Nelson working on 11 new songs, some of which were played during their last tour (see "Coldplay Enter London Studio To Begin Work On Third Album"). In a month, Coldplay will move to Air Studios in London to continue working on the album. No release date is scheduled. "They want to take their time to make sure it's really, really strong," Nelson said. "They always want to deliver the best album they can, and this is going to be a fantastic album. I actually believe it's going to be stronger than A Rush of Blood to the Head."

Ya they certainly have enough trouble writing them forwards let alone backwards. But hey once they are written, their songs are pure genius!

I found this in the news, one columnists opinion. "Brilliant Song. I'm quite sure it's about death though. I seem to remember Chris Martin saying that it was initially put aside for the third (main) album due to its rather sad theme but then due to other songs being removed from the final cut (Animal etc?) it was placed in instead. I think this song will probably mirror the third album's progression." I however do not think it will show much of the third album sound. First of all, Clocks was a very unique song and it is just......very different. Also it has been a VERY long time since they wrote this song, I mean pre-AROBTTH is like 3 years ago now. So just wanted to throw this out to people, do you agree with this guy or me?

First of all, I feed myself crumpets for a treat, they are awesome. Second, ya I think that these names are a little bit different for Coldplay. But think about how wierd "The Scientist" "Clocks" "AROBTTH" and "God Put A Smile Upon Your Face" sounded? I really thought those were wierd names but as we all found out the songs were amazing. So I really don't think we can analyze the titles until we hear the album. I'm more concerned with the Album title. It will be interesting to see if it is again named after one of the tracks (Parachutes and AROBTTH were both tracks but were not singles :o) or will it be someting not on the album. I only hope that it is not self-titled.

Your right it sounds very similair, but I really do not beleive they did this purposely. I mean come on. Lets write an amazing song, but make sure it says something backwards. I just don't buy into that one bit.

No offence Gwynnie, but I just think Coldplay should remain Coldplay.

They have already said they will do some small gigs in England (perhaps universities) to warm-up, and then do some buzz gigs in the United States.

I really truly believe that the first thing we will hear if anything at all is live versions of some of the songs from the small gigs the band wants to play in England before they release the record. They have already said they are going to do this, and I know a lot of people will try and record the new material! I think this is what we will hear before album versions. Besides, someone could have audio from A Message and Track 12 (Till Kingdom Come?) from a couple of nights ago already!

I could see Coldplay following other artists and writing story books for children. It would be amusing. I know I would buy!

I agree, it is quite cheap that they are squeezin out every penny they can.

If it is going to be march we better be hearing a single,........like now or if not today tomorrow. Otherwise I think april or may, but I stand by May 24th as I have seen that in a few places. May is soooooo far away!

Alright so perhaps some other US (Canada) tour dates around this time??? PLEASE :lol:
