Man are you spot on about the way the way the song builds emotional energy and momentum the whole way probably peaking at the line, "got to pull ya close into me, anothers arms, ANOTHERS ARMS." The second "anothers arms" in an amazing emotional moment, musically. Good call

Thats very nice of you. I think that i, like a young and current chris martin, probably tend to be self depricating in an effort to sound as un narcissistic as possible. Believe me, im my own biggest fan, and to broadcast that would be nauseating at best. Except for maybe while performing if it takes the form of enthusiasm. :). Thank you though genuinely.

Stumbled on original synth patch from Always in my Head intro
I think youre giving my technical abilities way way way too much credit. Im not even good with Logic Pro, much less creating a VST haha. I tried sampling my own falsetto and it turned out terrible haha

I think you're right, and Chris' voice is certainly blended in there, especially in the word "don't." I fully believe, however, that other vocal patches on the record are also from alchemy presets though. Could be wrong, but another's arms sounds like a combination of a few. Not that that song seems to get many people excited.

Coldplay Songs referencing other coldplay songs
That nailed it. My friends used to joke when i'd get into my car that I was going on a trip with Coldplay to "outer space," and that my car might just take off. The theme of outer space is a popular one. LP's 2 and 3 both start in outer space that's for sure. Look at earth from outer space and then maybe the most outer space odyssey song of all, Square One. "Look at the stars." :) i think it's a great musical theme. full of awe and wonder and mystery and beauty.

What piano should I buy similar to Chris's one?
I read this and was like, why would it make sense to put a Monday Night Football sticker on it? Sometimes I get tired of being stupid hah

You can get the "Giant," from Native Instruments for a lot less. Kidding but also seriously. In a live setting, his piano is really just a very expensive midi keyboard. Although I admit, the visual with the one he's using lately is really beautiful. But it's not as if they're using mic's on it or anything.

I'm getting better but i am a non-technical person. Lost me at "upload." Haha. But seriously. What is it you're asking? I'm sure I'm not the only guy or gal on here with Logic Pro X. Or even the soft synth Alchemy before they were bought and integrated into Logic by Apple. It's the preset, "alchemist's choir."

Stumbled on original synth patch from Always in my Head intro
This was interesting. So when I played a very standard Cmaj triad with this preset, the "what about me," vocal synth preset used in Always in My Head, the actual notes contained within the patch are C-E-G-B-D-F, which you might call a Cmaj13, or a Cmaj7/9/11/13 or something like that. Cmaj7add11 maybe. I'm not much into chord nomenclature. here's what it looks like visually when passed through Melodyne. And with melodyne, I have access to each note individually if I want to remove it or change its pitch without affect the other notes' pitches.

I'll show you. You can isolate individual notes or elements of a mixed recording with Melodyne. It's not perfect, but with something like a choir preset, melodyne wouldn't have trouble separating the individual voices in a polyphonic synth preset. Things get messier when you try separating an entire song including percussion elements, and instruments that overlap each other in terms of fundamental frequency.

Your Hopes + Dreams for LP7
I have a feeling that the album is going to be very much in the style of the phrase chris martin used to describe ASFOS. "Emotional Dance Music." It seems quite popular to be dismissive of the production style of Avicci, but I personally really enjoy the aesthetics of ASFOS, even the gimmicky reverse reverb intro and the phase-y broad band EQ sweeps across the piano. I thought for a long time that Coldplay would never use "presets" in their studio work, but as I discovered while exploring Alchemy, they aren't above it and i think they're use of canned sounds has been weaved into their work beautifully. I'm fine with an EDM inspired album, because the production style is just how a song is dressed up. And the songs themselves are more important in my humble opinion. And coldplay's success has far more to do with the glorious display of virtuosic song writing than it does with production styles. The production hasn't been similar between any two albums thus far. Except for the band's attention to perfection and detail in their playing and singing.

Warning Sign
music is a 3:30 AM endeavor for me. something about the middle of the night is the time when music seems be in the air for me. I normally will do about 4 takes of something and take a look at them and decide which seems best. playing guitar and singing at the same time makes any kind of vocal pitch correction impossible so i normally choose based on how good my vocal intonation is. when i record, i don't worry about fixing the pitch of a word here or there because the energy or emotion of the performance is the most important factor.

Thank you man. We have to keep the neighbors in mind unfortunately. I find it much harder to sing in tune at a low volume but I do like the overall vibe it has with a song like this. Thanks for listening. Much appreciate! :)

Warning Sign
Hi guys. Just wanted to share an acoustic cover i did today of Warning Sign. Please feel free to leave any questions, comments, complaints etc. i imagine it must be so stressful for coldplay to release an entire album of new material without knowing how it will be recieved. I feel that way about this little thing and its a beautifully written song by someone else for crying out loud. Still, hard to tell if its any good when youre the person performing and recording it. Appreciate it guys. Cheets. Charlie https://youtu.be/SYtii_C-Bd0

I do know that the voice in "another's arms" is just a sampled voice from this Alchemy synthesizer. Chris joked that it was Oprah Winfrey. But yes, in that outdo, you can definitely tell that a number of voices, including chris's and what sounds to be a female have been processed to become a single, incredibly beautiful androgynous falsetto.
