After a week of listening and now this live event Which I think made all the songs even better , some of you may think I’m crazy but I think this is my favourite Coldplay album yet .. something feels different and right .. there’s a connectIon within that band that’s coming through really strongly for me . I also love that this album isn’t just lyrically like your Ok everything is fine , it’s recognizing that life is hard , It’s hard to just come from a genuine place of love for everyone but we can try I guess . there’s a lot of solid emotions imo , anger , strength , loss , peace , triumph, sad .. I think this was an A+ for me ! My top favorites right now are Trouble in town Arabesque Old friends When I need a friend Champion of the world

I dunno what y’all are taking about besides church I think he sang it all live , you could tell he had to really push but it’s clear he had vocal issues . The sound quality was amazing .. honestly this is my favourite thing I’ve watched by them in years . I keep rewatching I can’t even skip a song it’s like a giant song .. again that band member pan before Jonny goes into his it in Trouble in town is amazing !!!!all of it even though church wasn’t sung live the videography with that sun and when Norah comes in complete chills !!

Chris seems so genuinely full of joy, or something is different in him maybe it’s just aging , he seems uplifted I don’t know how to describe Him anymore , like a gentle soul! You know how you watch some ppl sing or speak and they say all the right things but it feels so fake . Like it’s just said because it’ll give them brownie points .. Well he’s the complete opposite he seems so genuine .. I mean I obviously don’t know him everyone had their flaws I’m sure he has a tone but he’s one of those rare ppl you get a sense of peace from . He’s always felt the music but I feel like more then ever he’s wearing his heart on his sleeve ! They all seem to just be in a great place . I love seeing all the smiles and the huddles before they started . There really will not be another like Coldplay !

I thought this was soooooo beautiful .. they seemed so in their moment .. Chris was amazing , I know church was recorded but I’m guessing he was sick or something cause they kept referencing him not talking and stuff in other videos . I thought he did wonderful and I felt like I got the songs even more .. And the visual of that sun coming up when they opened .. they joy in his face was so authentic !! I can’t wait til the second part !!

I will say they bleeped him swearing which kinda makes me sad for the live show as I wanna here the authentic songs swearing and all lol

I’m sorry I just have to say how I’m already frustrated with the media and comments about what Chris said about touring .. media is acting like he’s holier then thou and that he’s refusing to tour ya da ya da ya da .. ppl instantly commenting on how he lives a high life . But he was so gracious and not judgemental in how he said they want to become more environmentally friendly . Ppl need to actually watch what he said .. for one thing I don’t think this albums lack of tour has as much to do with the eco friendly as it’s just not a touring album . They are obviously working on something else . He didn’t say they were perfect and not doing anything unless it’s environmentally friendly he said it’s about doing your best and setting a better standard so ppl can see things can be done .. the media is acting like they are gonna be perfect which is impossible for touring and then they are gonna get so much flack for taking a car a plane etc .. I honestly think his statements are being blown out of context but that’s just me and good on them for wanting to find ways to make it better!! Ppl will find ever way now too make this a bad thing instead of good! Sorry had to vent lol now everyone go sign up for YouTube premium lol because road to Jordan was so good !

Only thing that makes me a little sad about this album is that mainstream listeners will prob judge it harshly before really listening a lot . Like this album grows on you a lot , once you look at lyrics and how they arranged it . First time heard it I had a lot of what is this feelings lol now I’m like wow this is fantastic . I’m really looking forward to all the rest of their fans hearing this :)

Wow COTW I just love you lol the more I listen to these songs the more I love them .. this is gonna be an album where with time all these lyrics and different stylings sink in more and more ! I hope they realize they did good with this ! Can not wait to here this all live ! Only a little bit longer to wait !

I dunno why but this is the only song yet on this album that doesn’t connect with me lyrically .. I dunno why but I don’t really understand what it’s saying .. I love the music and singing but as basically the opener I’m not sure of the message ., at first listen it seems to be about love, but it feels nothing like the lyrical direction of the rest of the songs .. maybe I’m just really missing the point lol

Ok on 3rd listen , now I start to get caught up in lyrics it always takes me a few try’s to fully get what songs are saying . Wow sunrise is reallllly so beautiful . I’m a little confused by church .. I mean it sounds good but lyrically I’m not sure what exactly it’s supose to be about in relation to the rest of the album .. trouble in town - aggressive and full of impact .. broken - to the point uplifting gospel tune , just still can’t process this styling from Chris lol WOTW/POTP - a bit hard to hear I had the feeling it was Chris singing bits and pieces of a song he was trying to create .. I need to further hear the lyrics Daddy - was soooo not expecting this at allllll . So touching and sad . Sadly such true lyrics .. I really enjoyed this one . I can’t personally connect to it but I know many that can . Arabesque- again such a good song When I need a friend - really to emotional for me .. I feel a strong spiritual , cry in this . I just really liked it Guns - thought it was excellent , rushed but That’s kinda what made sense .. it had authority , like someone getting worked up about what they need to say . Orphans - loved it since the first time I heard it :) Eko- I need some more time with this one and it’s lyrics Cry cry cry - I love everything about this song ! After my initial shock that this was Coldplay lol first lyrically simple but again makes you feel like your never alone . Just uplifting . And I’ve never heard Chris Martin sing like this lol I dunno I loved all of this it was special . However I cannot listen to it without thinking about curious George I dunno if it’s the music there’s something that’s giving me déjà vu lol Old friends- in my top 3 on this album ! It just makes me smile and I love the music in it Bani Adam - beautiful Champion of the world - YES! This is Coldplay . Everyday life - perfect I really appreciated this era . Definately not mainstream but needs to be heard .

I’m kinda lost for words .. this was such an interesting listen !! I was brought to tears a few times . And smiles many more times major surprises Daddy ! Old friend ( the music in this is top notch ) And well champion of the world I reallllllly enjoyed cry cry cry . Wow this was soooo different lol I’m Actually just as excited for the real release to listen to this with lyrics .. as usual I just couldn’t quite understand quite a few things . I just want to sing COTW in concert you can’t not smile when you listen to this .. right ! I’m very satisfied ! Mind you some things we’re a little odd , odd to hear Chris in a gospel way which is what I felt from several songs .. not that it’s a bad thing at all just wasn’t something I heard before Bravo Coldplay !!

I’m quite surprised with everyone’s thoughts on this song .. honestly I thought it fit perfect as a close .. in this crazy messed up world we still have to go in in everyday life . And just gotta say halaluigh you’ve gotten to wake up for another day .. a very quite outtro but I really like it . Seems like an ending of all the thoughts we’ll get to hear when we hear the album as a whole . Maybe I’m to sentimental lol

I’ll be the one to disagree lol we’ll agree and disagree .. I was kinda waiting for it to get a bit more intense in the song .. however the ending was perfect imo ....you wake up to a new day and quietly say halaluigh.. I get it .. I felt it .. a simple yet again Impactful message .. I don’t think it needed the build .. maybe I’m just trying hard to love it .. which I do . If that’s the final message of the album it’s very fitting .

I’ve never seen Coldplay sing with a choir or anything of the sort in a live performance .. that’s all I meant by “normal singers” meaning just the band :) besides their kids singing on the side lol I’m stoked for Jordan I think we’ll really get a lot of this .
