Wow! I wasn't expecting that. i'am happy I stayed up for longer and was able to hear this song :eek: I'am surprised. In a good way. The calm start, and the all the instruments kick in. The backing vocals later in the song fit the song really well. I am really excited to hear how this would sound live. At 2.22 (in the youtube lyric video, and I LOVE IT) "Just an alien" line and Chris' vocals, really got the goosebumps and the emotional, a bit sad, ending just nails it. Coldplay songs lately seem to come out just the right time. SJLT was an uplifting song when I was really stressed out and all I needed was to listen to my superheroes. Hypnotised, when I had fallen in love with this wonderful girl; AICTAIY was very fitting for that same time period. Miracles (Someone Special) when I was feeling very down, and now A L I E N S. The lyrics. "Oh we want to just get home again" is how I have been feeling for a long time now. I feel so lost in life right now in all of my personal stuff, whatever I do, I feel myself as an outsider, like just an alien. It seems as if the band's music is really speaking to me, it seems really weird. When I listen to Coldplay's music, I feel like I'm at home at least for one moment. This is why I love them so much, they always seem to get it right :blush:

This song is really growing on me. I loved the last chorus immediately though. Such a happy, beautiful and uplifting song :blush:

Is someone able to confirm the setlist? Seems it was Birds this time instead of GPASUYF, and C-stage was Trouble, Don't Panic and UATW?

It has this pretty uplifting and happy vibe, and as @I ran away said in the other thread, the drum beat reminds of the original Miracles with similar hand clap samples and bass drum sound. I'am not so sure how I like Big Sean's part yet, but the last time the chorus kicks in, oh my, Will's beautiful backing vocals gets me every time. Jonny's guitar at the end makes a perfect finish for the song. Not my favorite of the new EP but a great song nevertheless! Can't wait to hear the studio version and better live recording :)

Can I come in and play too? If it's allowed, I would have to go with Violet Hill (all of the 4songs are really good though!)
