Yeah a Head Full Of Dreams is something I hope they change. It sounds knock offish. But I hope they are going with a whole differnt sound if anything. Ghost Stories was good but I want something greater than AROBTTH.

I kinda agree with FJK_12. Everything seems based off of prior knowledge, and things in the past. It also seems strange that he is telling us so much. BUT... he did just join so it could be real though he just be a second account for someone. I do listen to him though cause he is all I have.

I hope everyone knows that Colday had Ben working on LP7 since and maybe before the Zane Lowe interview. So basically Ghost Stories wasn't musically important, and they didn't care about the sales. Like Chris said he just HAD to make Ghost Stories. But I think LP7 will have way more effort put into it and will be a amazing record. I actually disagree with the collaboration part speculation of LP7 because it seems unlike Coldplay (except with Rihanna). I think it will be an electronic AROBTTH.

Yes I think I have the same book as you. And yes, I don't think True Love is actually a -semitone tuning. Because I was lazy one day and transposed and it as just as easy. Like you said the way he plays it (Jonny) is sensible. And Ink I know is wrong I was just going off the book but in every performance Chris plays with a capo and he probably wouldn't recorded it different because that is done.

True but I think Chris plays it that way for ease of tuning and switching between songs in the set. In reality he recorded it with the -1 semitone tuning.

Well actually according to the tab book the tuning for Ink is just the strings tuned down a semitone from standard tuning

The first in this thread, of sounds I will show you how to make from the Ghost stories album is the beep sound from Oceans. Note: This is all used using Logic Pro X First create a software instrument. Then choose the ES1 Synthesizer. Go to the preset menu and choose the synth keyboard then choose full synth. Turn the polyphony button to 8'. Then turn the second oscillator off and the first on to the first waveform on the left. Even though the second osc is off still have the waves in the mix position or in the middle. Then have the cutoff like a smidge past the middle and the drive two hash marks below the full label. The resonance is in the middle and so are both of the arrows on the ASDR. Also turn the amplifier to full. The filter should be set to 24 db classic. Now add some small low frequency, kinda small mid frequency EQ across the whole channel, and mid sized high EQ in that parameter. Then add a spreader then some reverb from space designer then another spreader and reverb from space designer on the blue room preset and you are good to go. This sound is pretty accurate to the record.

I believed of unless you want to use a capo. But to check if it is make d chord in the 5 to 8 fret range and use your thumb and leave the 1st string (e not E) open for sure.

Yeah, jonny and the cake is right. Instead of stepping in the pedals he has his signal chain organized and. The he presses on those buttons. The buttons control the pedals via MIDI.
