There's a website called Livemocha that's really cool. There's different exercises you can do in different languages and then a speaker will grade you and critique your performance.

it's not like the movies, i guess, where you both say goodbye and that's that. sometimes it's drawn out and the other person cries a lot. sometimes you have to wrap them up in your arms again, even though it's wrong. and sometimes that person threatens you with their own life, and you can't give in. sorrow and manipulation. that's all it is. it's not funny and it doesn't put you right in front of the next person you'll fall in love with. it's not resolved in a bar and it's not pretty and it's not easy to keep his nose from running onto your shirt because he's been crying for three hours in your bed.
