st. nicholas, when's the holiday? we've got a special holiday december 5th, it's called mikuláš. i got some money, an advent calender and some sweets.

 

i'm going to do all the shopping tomorrow, but i have no idea what to buy. :)

we have it on the 6th december (or the evening before) and it's called miklavž :D very similar :P

 

then comes santa (božiček) on the 25th and dedek mraz on the 31st :nice:

we've got something similar here... but:

we've got no santa, but ježíšek (it's a baby, young christ - i don't like the idea that a baby brings you presents :lol: ) and on the 31st is silvestr.... you might know it;)

we call santa božiček (little god) ....

 

oh yeah... silvester is a saint here, but the man who gives you gifts is dedek mraz, like i said :nice:

Our Santa is called Święty Mikołaj (St. Nicholas) :)
