These guys from my school did a cover of Purple Haze at the Variety Show and it was awesome. The guitarist was even doing the solo with his teeth. After hearing Purple Haze for the first time, and live the first time too, I downloaded it, and that's how I got here!

 

Electric Ladyland is the most tripped out cd I have ever heard. I'm sorry Radiohead fans, but Kid A has nothing on this. One need only hear "1983..." and "And The Gods Made Love" to agree. If Hendrix was on acid, as rumors suggest, then this is Hendrix taking us along through one of his bad trips.

 

This is an essential album, and is Hendrix's best. It's just a small fraction better than Are You Experienced? And it's Hendrix's masterpiece.
