An Ikea just opened a few months ago in South Philly. I won't even drive anywhere near it on weekends.

I usually walk straight past the furniture to the marketplace. I could spend hours in there picking things up. I love all the pictures & rugs & candles and that sort of stuff. It's a good job we live quite far away from the nearest branch, and that ian won't drive me there very often :lol:

my favortie piece of Ikea furniture.. (that hasnt broken yet) is my coffee table.. they dont eve make it anymore... its red and round.. has storage compartments on the bottom for cds and such.. and it has wheels! :)

Ikea is a really good store, too bad there isn't one near me, or I would be spending all my money there.

I love Ikea.......... all my furniture is from that place!!

I love it b/c it's pretty cheap and easy to put together.

Indeed, if you bump into a Briton under the age of 50 who has never visited Ikea, it is not unlikely that they are either from the Hebrides, or a member of the aristocracy.

I love that place even if it's straight on the other side of town and is impossible to get to by bus or walking. My family goes down there and they let me run loose amidst the trippy furniture and bat dolls. :lol: I also adore their food.

 

I may be heading down there tomorrow.

ohh they are tasty.... but they reek havoc on you later... lol I was told once that the furniture there, the names and such.. dont mean anything in translated.. and that the ones that do translate.. have dirty names.. is this true?? lol
