Hey I was reading that God Put A Smile Upon Your Face was almost left off AROBTTH, along with some other tracks. Tracks left off AROBTTH are apparantly: A Ghost, Deserter, Fingers Crossed, Murder, This Hollow Frame, In Isolation and Animals. I just wondered whether anyone knew much about these tracks, and whether studio recordings were made of the tracks? Plus,and most importantly- where can I get them from?! Oh dear! talk about Coldplay anorak! I just want to have as many of the tracks as possible!

Hmmm, I've never even heard about some of these tracks. I think that A Whisper should have been thrown off and Murder added. Murder wsa a really great song. A Whisper is boring to me. But yeah, like I was saying. If anyone has any of these tracks, then please send, I want to have it all!!! lol.

no sorry, but what about Gravity? maybe they wrote that during AROBTTH. also ANIMALS should have been on the album its awesome. just as good as A WHISPER

yeah.... i got gravity already, the coldplay and the embrace version. i just think they must be out there somewhere, but i had never heard of them til today so was just wondering really if anyone had heard/got of any except Murder and Animals...i have a live version of a ghost but thats it! animals and murder are both v.good so i was just hoping the others would be too!

I think these tracks are locked in the vault.... but Chris has said that they have enough recorded material to make at least 4 box sets... if not more... so I guess only time will tell if we will ever see these.. :embarrased:

i have all of those b sides- animals, murder inc.....its the ones that they left off completely im interested in! I'm curious to know what they sound like and why they were left off...hmmmm.....wonder if we will ever get to hear them? :/ i hope so, they might not meet their (v.perfectionist) standards but would just be interested to hear them

Well, as far as I understood and have heard, Gravity and A Ghost were written after the Rush of Blood sessions, as with Moses, Ladder to the Sun, Solid Ground, Your World Turned Upside Down and a couple others. As far as Deserter, Fingers Crossed, This Hollow Frame, and In Isolation...this is the first I've heard of them, so I couldn't tell ya.

 

[EDIT] Ok, I just looked up those songs (Deserter, Fingers Crossed, This Hollow Frame, and In Isolation) on the Q&A on coldplay.com, and it seems that you won't be able to get them anywhere. They're discarded tracks that probably will never see the light of day.

I've never heard murder or animals studio version, that would certainly be a treat. I have both of them, but they are just terrible quality and live, you can barely hear.

hmmm I kinda like A Whisper... more over than Green Eyes.. however the lyric to Green Eyes is beautiful... I'm not crazy about the tune.
