Pretty much the rest of the songs named in here are really great too, although Warning Sign, The Scientist and Speed of Sound are probably the other top picks. Its so hard to pick a favorite song for its lyrics, they're almost all really something to admire! :D

I've always intepreted it as meaning that there's nothing worth pulling a gun out for and that violence is not the way to go. I may be wrong (probably am) but that's the way i like to think of it.

yeah, that politik lyric is one of my faves too - along with "Give me real, don't give me fake".

I've always intepreted it as meaning that there's nothing worth pulling a gun out for and that violence is not the way to go. I may be wrong (probably am) but that's the way i like to think of it.

 

Yeah, it's about how violence and war isn't the answer to anything and that nothing is worth fighting (or dying) for.

i think (though i may be wrong) its trying to say that violence is horrible, but the song trying to put you in that place, its asking you "how far would you go for someone you love?" i think its likle, leaving you to make up your own mind. you can see how strong the love is, but you know how wrong the violence is.

The thing that strikes me about that lyric is the provocative manner in which Chris is singing it... Like "Hell yeah, isn't the world a bad enough place already (without adding on to its ugliness some more)?"

It makes me feel sad and anguished at the same time...
