Cabroncito
I could care less for premier league, I can't stand the teams... **BUT** I do have respect for them as a futbol powerhouse and i mourn the current status of Man U. If these damn U.S. people try to take over world soccer and turn it into MLS then i am just gonna snap!
berrywoman
^not likely... we would need to 'learn how to play the game properly' in order to do that.. they dont have the dedication that the the Premiere league or the Chsmpions league have.. OR even the Latin American teams.. they're too focused on "football" and super bowls for that... Â but the MLS has come a long way in the past few years.... but they're still shite
Cabroncito
It's not about our soccer taking over, it's about these rich people trying to ad sports teams to their belt. Like the Owner of the Devil Rays buying out Man. U. Now Red Mccombs is gonna go buy Real Madrid, and Michael Jordan will take over juventus etc etc.
berrywoman
so whats wrong with that?????? they're just going to be 'getting paid'.. they're not stupid... they know a good investment when they see one... besides.. the Europeans would NEVER let them take those teams out of Europe.. if thats what your worried about.. :P

Cabroncito
Oh i know that the teams aren't leaving, i'm worried about the sport becoming perverted (not in the sexual sense). I think that FIFA is fine the way it is, if the US start excersing it's influence on the rest of the world and how it's run then i think i would have a problem. Â In case no one knew, MLS is the only League to not abide by FIFA rules and regs. The abide by their own governing body.

tifosi
Actually they're going to be called the 'Salford Quays Patriots'. After Glaziers tried and failes blackmail attempt on Manchester City Council to bankroll the buyout, nearly Salford decided to take up the burden... :)
