so I log on to my pc this evening only to discover that the sound has gone MIA on this thing... the volume is up.. control panel hasnt changed.. the mute botton is not on.... it does even play my iTunes.. :cry: :cry:

 

 

any suggestions??

Aww you most probably pressed something,just keep trying (Or ambush someone who can look at it for you).

Grr i hate computers..my Laptop died on me last month.

The only things I can think of are those things that are so dumb and obvious that we wouldn't think to check them like: is there something plugged into the headphone jack on the laptop that's not supposed to be? Or is the volume on iTunes itself turned off?

 

Or maybe your audio drivers just decided to take a vacation. I would ask somebody who knows a little more before screwing around with reinstalling those, though. :uhoh2:

when I checked my mute button.. I just checked the volume one... not realizing that there was also a PC speaker button.... :embarrased: it was on mute....
