its too short live, that is, at least when they played it on snl, but the harmony at the end is better live.

I absolutely cried my flippin eyes out the first time I heard this song.

Oh wait, I also cried the second time I heard it. And the third.... And the fourth. And the fifth, now that I come to think of it...

I agree with albie, the album version is not as great, chris doesnt do the "whoaoaoo" bit he does live and the instrumental is way too long! Plus an acoustic guitar starts to come in early and put some rhythm in which is just wrong, the SNL performance is how it should be on the album! :D

I think the album version is better than the SNL version.

i like both versions ...live and album ver... but maybe i prefer live version to the album... it really filled my eyes with tears and i got goose bumps :)
