i always knew coldplay's 'sceintist' guitar sounded like NIN's 'hurt'

 

like exactly...then last night i see a coldplay concert on 'musicplus'

and at the end of the scientist he sings last verse of 'Hurt'

 

is NIN credited on Album or does Coldplay get so much backlash from song that Martins being a smast ass?

Hmm dunno. I have to listen to it :). I think he just sang the verse because it's fit in the song and tries to be creative for the audience. Like he did with clocks - tatu 'all the things she said', everthing's not lost - nelly 'hot in herre' or don't panic - shania twain 'man I feel like a woman'.

 

Maybe I'm wrong with THIS song :). Just a guess ;)

i dont see how it could be coincidence, its same riff..

the same chords work for complicated by avril lavigne ( dont ask me how i know :rolleyes: ) and for as much as i like coldplay, chris totally destroyed this beautiful song by nin :sick:

then sum 41 further destroyed it.

i'm sure nin aren't the first to use that chord progession either, diffferent artists will a lot of times use similar riffs/progressions in different ways, chris just realized that he could sing hurt with the scientists progression and it fit well, i don't think it's any form of plagarism

I didnt mean that, i meant that his vesion of hurt suck monkey balls and trent reznor should kick his ass for destroying his song :wacky:

 

Bah dont mind me, the only cover i like of that song is the one johnny cash recorded.
