6? nooo....well we have 6 tickets. one for me, one for mindy, one for my dad, and then 3 more. one we planned on giving to my brothers friend. so then i invited 2 more people. one said she couldn't come because her mom decided she couldn't come. so then we invited this other guy. he said he most likely could, but then this family dinner thing came up. my other friend got sick.

so right now it's me, mindy, my dad, and my brother's friend who's going to come up later. we'll probably give away the two extra tickets, or sell them for a low price to help pay for the gas we spent or something.

Hey.. you could sell them on craigslist for like $400.

People keep telling me to sell my Live 8 tickets, the mentality of some people. :stunned:

You ended up getting Barrie tickets? I'm have tix, but I never thought of selling them either, even though I'm not going.

CTV's airing of Live 8 is gawdawful. Way too many commercial interruptions between an artist's set.

I hate Tanya Kim. I hate Ben Mulroney.

Yah, I got tickets no problem. Funny how it sold out just as fast as the Coldplay show, yet I had no luck on ticketmaster getting those. I stayed home from Live 8... spending time with my family (sigh) watching it on tv. With my uncle complaining about how crappy it is.

The CTV feed is awful.... went downhill after Dido performed.

But it was funny how CTV gave away an entire BOOK of tickets to ppl outside the gates of Park Place. Guess turnout wasn't what organizers expected.

we did end up selling them actually. but we're nice people. someone just came up to us and asked us if we had tickets and said he'd give us $20 for them. so we sold them for $20 each (2 tickets). we paid about $35 filling up the tank with gas anyway...

oh yeah. hehe never told about the concert.

parts of it was amazing. like i said in the other thread, the whole snapping thing with will smith in philadalphia and everyone around the world snapping was just incredible. the concert was fun actually. some performances didn't really interest me though

i got a pretty good spot! close to the front, i dunno, 20 feet or so from the stage.

it was an exausting day.

 looks like it.

oh. interesting thing. i ran into someone i went to school with last year :stunned: he was RIGHT beside us and i just noticed he looked like him. so mindy said "jeff?" and he's like "yeah?" and then we asked his full name and said it was him. SO random. :o he grew. a lot.

some guy behind us attacked this other guy because he just walked in front of us, and was blocking his short wife. :o he pushed him, and nearly hurt the people in front of us. then they both left :dozey:

we met some nice people. for a little bit we met these 15 year old twins :wink3:  and their friends. and these girls for about an hour.

my feet hurt a lot. getting in to the park was crazy.

i managed not to leave the crowd once! my dad had to re-fill our water bottles though. took him an hour to get through, fill up, go to the washroom, and come back.

y'know what i found interesting? when they were showing videos from different locations, and they showed us, they showed us as a country rather then a city  while they were saying rome, berlin, london etc...they said canada.

and simple plan kept calling us toronto...people were yelling "WE'RE IN BARRIE!!"
