Misheard lyrics in X&Y...

Featured Replies

The only downside to not having lyrics to go with the album is mishearing the lyrics..

So far mine is the second line of The Hardest Part

Instead of "Was letting go, not taking part", I heard

"Was letting go of my ticking heart"

Luccky I checked the lyrics before I made a bigger ass of myself.

that' true....but I also found wrong lyrics on the net; 4 ex:a line of What if

Instead of Let's take a Breath jump over the side, they wrote Let's take a breath try to hold it inside

My friend thought living in perfect symmetry from Low was "living it in the trees" XD

What are they, monkeys?

I know what you mean. Like in clocks at the end I heard it wrong. But i read the lyrics and I dont make a fool of myself.

i remeber when I checked The Scieintis lyrics for the first time, i saw i was getting them so worng I was shocked..

I can't remember now cause I already know them now :)

I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one who thought that every time Chris sung "tell you" he was saying "daddy".

for clocks instead of shoot an apple off my head I heard shouldn't i pull of my head

I second the last one.

White Shadows

"swimming on a sea of faces

a tide of the human races"

Thats what i keep singing yet, i seen like 5 different lyrics for that part and not sure which one is right-----

This version sounds right but doesnt make much sense to me :P

Forth the one before the last one... hehe :)

(about clocks- shouldn't i pull of my head)

sorry, Sir Raptor of Nonsense...lilchick is right, it's tide, not tired.

Note: if someone is unsure of lyrics you can go to the official site...lyrics are there. Am i the only one who knows this? :P

THAT WHOLE PART OF WHITE SHADOWS DOESNT MAKE SENSE-----I THINK

THAT IS WHY ITS CONFUSING

YEAH I SEEN SO MANY DIFFERENT VERSIONS OF THAT LITTLE PIECE BUT THE LYRICS I GOT THEM FROM COLDPLAY.COM

:P

I've always heard in Shiver, in the part that comes after 'Just you try to stop me. I'll be waiting in line, just to see if you.......', "can", not "care", as it is on the official site. I don't know...i must be wrong.

And, about clocks, when i read the lyrics for the first time it was so funny...I don't remember singing any of the words that Chris says. I remember the first thing i said: 'oh! so he was saying something there', refering to "you are". :P

for clocks instead of shoot an apple off my head I heard shouldn't i pull of my head

I heard the exact same thing and my sister would always laugh at me when I would sing.."shoulnt I pull off my head" ahahahah

i'm still not sure of what the first few lines of the title track X&Y are...i thought i was hearing

trying hard to speak and fighting with my weak hand

but i think i'm wrong.

Instead of I need a compass, draw me a map

I heard I need a compass, dry me a madrass :S

D

YOUR CORRECT :P

"You're the target, that I'm aiming at" - A Message

I heard "You're the target that I aim in air"

Conclusion: We're all deaf :P

Actually it's more like

"Hey Chris, you can't sing (or pronounce yer words properly) can ya?!!"

I keep hearing the "part of a system, again" from White Shadows thats written on the site as "part of a system, a plan." Does anyone else hear that?
