I find Low unpersonal and bland compared to other Coldplay songs. Not their best at all.

 

Indeed, it's nowhere near their best song (which is Politik imho) :smug:

The 'problem' with X&Y is that it's an album-full of singles (or potential singles)... Every one of them could belong on the radio. So the album doesn't feel like it belongs to you i.e. lacks the intimate feel.

 

Yes' date=' I personally find it to be the best '80s powerhouse song the album has to offer(even if "White Shadows" is the much more likely single candidate), because it really charges home toward the build. I don't think Coldplay has many songs where 'piledriving' is the proper adjective to be using, but "Low" is a track that can head that list.[/quote']

 

Yep, love that word... 'Piledriving' is definitely the word for it. Glad they're exploring that direction, they definitely need more songs like that!
