I noticed that the BBC's Open golf has used an instrumental version of White Shadows.

 

Anyone know whether it's been released on a B-side or something, or whether the Beeb have extracted the vocal themselves?

nah, I doubt they would have done that. They will have the Instrumental CD of X&Y. Most major labels make them to give to the BBC and other broadcasting companies.

Cheers - but it's not worth tuning into the golf just on the offchance they play it again: you might have to wait hours, and there's another 3 days of it!
