July 21, 200520 yr It's funny now to think that I changed the channel EVERYTIME I heard the opening of In My Place with Will's drums,I don't know why I never even gave it a chance.
July 21, 200520 yr It wasn't until Clocks was released as a single that I stated to take notice I bought their CD, Rush of Blood to the Head and listened to it once or twice and then well.... put it away I didn't really think much of it and then a few months later I put it in again and started listening and my goodness I got hooked. I must have listened to that thing straight in my car for 5 months straight Then I started to read up on the band and found out they had another album out so I went and bought Parachutes and was instantly hooked as well and the rest if history.... now I own everything
July 21, 200520 yr No idea when the first time I heard Coldplay was. Its all Ian's fault that I got to know the songs. :D
July 21, 200520 yr This is making me feel very old! I got into the band before the release on Shiver when I had to go interview them for my uni magazine - they were opening act on the NME tour at the time, playing a 20 minute set to support Campag Velocet, Les Rhythmes Digitales and Shack! The next week I found a copy of The Blue Room in my local record shop for 20p...

July 22, 200520 yr I became a fan after hearing 'Shiver' on the some indie radiostation. Then came the 'Yellow' Glastonbury 2000 hype thing, which kept me interested. Loved the Glasto set whilst watching it on TV. Definitely wanted to hear more. Thought they sounded somewhat similar to Travis back in those days, and I really adored Travis around that time. Bought 'Parachutes' on the day of release, along with a copy of the Blue Room EP. Got hooked immediately. Bought every single release since that day, plus the 'Brothers & Sisters' single ofcourse
July 23, 200520 yr Eh... I remember hearing 'Yellow' when I was nine years old... My dad used to play it in the car all the time... Then my sister started listening to more of the band when I was about 11... and me, who always follows her footsteps, started listening to A Rush of Blood to the Head a lot... then Parachutes, then I became a complete fan. :)
July 23, 200520 yr december 27 2002, at like 4 am, i heard clocks on mtv, and was amazed. the next day i went out and got the cd and loved it.
July 25, 200520 yr The first time I heard Coldplay was when I was browsing my brother`s music folder. He had 3 songs - yellow, trouble and don`t panic. First song I heard was Don`t Panic. I was listening those three songs everyday for a few weeks, when I finally understood that I love Coldplay. A few weeks later I heard Clocks on the radio... and from that day I became a fan :)
