I've read somewhere (wikipedia I think) that it's actually Jonathon. Is sounds a bit strange though.

I just checked on coldplay.com in the q&a (i put Jonathan in the search box) and Debs answers that it is in fact "Jonathan" Someone was asking why Jon has so many names and which one is right. :)

Yeah Southampton but I think they meant where did the idea of his name being Wilbur come from. Plus during GPASUYF at Glastonbury Chris went "William, William" before that drum solo.
