It's somewhat possible that my memory is screwed up, but I'm really sure that they played Amsterdam after Yellow. Chris had said barely 2 words to the audience (which was so different from the cincinnati show), and I was wondering why the guys seemed so distant that night. Even in Yellow he didn't get into it nearly as much-but when he sat down at the piano (probably to start Speed of Sound), he played a chord, then stopped and started talking about how they couldn't go on and not say anything about the devastation in New Orleans. He said they were so sorry for the USA, but that we all must remember that life is for living, and that they were committed to making this a great night...so here's a song called Amsterdam.

 

Also, does anyone remember what he said in Politik after the following change:

"Can you tell me what it means, about the flood in New Orleans..."

I'm certain he changed the next line too, but I didn't really catch what he said.

he said that before amersterdam. and they did play yellow before anersterdam.

just wondering, about the pit. i attended the concert at columbus with pavilion seats. and next time around, i def want pit tickets. how does one get pit tix? is it general admission like others..? please answer.

I feel almost silly giving this a massive bump, but has this show surfaced yet? I keep thinking about Chris's adlib about Katrina during "Politik" (can you tell me what it means/Stop the floods in New Orleans") and its around the 1 year anniversary and not to mention how awesome Rush of Blood & Amsterdam were.

Interesting set list, amsterdam, AROBTTH and green eyes are somewhat of an oddity. On you-tube I have yet to find any X&Y tour performances of any of those three...or swallowed in the sea for that matter.
