Think they got the name "Proof" from the coldplay song? Probably not but the thought crossed my mind :P .

imdb says that her recent films will be those ones... and proof is the more recent one.:

Dirty Tricks (2006) (announced) .... Maureen Dean

Untitled Marlene Dietrich Project (2006) (announced) .... Marlene Dietrich

Have You Heard? (2006) (filming) .... Peggy Lee

Love and Other Disasters (2006) (filming) .... Hollywood Jacks

Running with Scissors (2006) (filming) .... Hope

Proof (2005) .... Catherine

i don't know if proof song is related with proof film..

Wow she's planning on doing a lot of movies all the sudden :o .She hasn't done that many movies in a long long time, I'm glad to see her getting back into it. I loved her in The Tannonbons or whatever it was called :P .

I'm pretty sure "Proof" is a play that was written waaaay before Coldplay's song came about. So I guess it's just a coincidence.

There was an interview with Chris about it...the interviewer asked if the song was written because of the movie, Chris sarcastically said that there was a song for all of her movies and was currently writing one called The Talented Mr Martin.

They were playing the song way before Chris met Gwyneth and the movie was a play first, which Gwyneth starred in way before she met Chris. So it's just a coincidence ;)
