Just Got Home From The Greatest Show EVER!!

I just witnessed the best concert i've EVER been too. I was at the Austin City Limit festival in Austin, Texas. It was amazing. Chris even went across the park and climbed the light rafters to sing to the people in the back. Chris said there were 60,000 people there, but i'm not sure if that's right, although i've never seen that many people together at once. I took some pics and filmed a lot of it on my cell phone which surprisingly looked okay. I also recorded the whole concert on a digital recorder and it came out so so. if anyone wants i'll post all this stuff. I'm off to bed for now, but i'll check back tomorrow.

Wow! I'll be looking forward to it! :)

60,000? Dayem... Irvine only had... uh... 10,000 people, lol.

I was there too. I thought Dallas was better.

Probably cause I was in the front row in Dallas :D

I live just an hr and a half away from Austin and it was crushing that I didn't go to this and it would be GREAT if you could post your recording of this concert! At least I could hear what I could have been apart of.. Does anyone think Coldplay will come back to Texas for the Spring 2006 Arena Tour??

I think they will since they had to cancel the houston show. i had tickets for all 3 shows (Dallas, Houston and ACL) and couldnt fly down because my flight had to be canceled because of Rita

I would love a copy of the recording though.

how come coldplay wasnt broadcasted on the internet like all the other bands

Yeah please post the recording, King Payam! That would be great! :) It sounds amazing....aaaaaaaaaaaah i cant wait to see them for the 1st time, im SO excited!!!! :D

Sounds like a blast, glad you had a great time :D !!

OMG, I was also at the ACL Festival in Austin, and I was standing right next to light rafters. When Martin disappeared from the stage (jumped into the crowd) and 15 seconds later he shows up 3 FEET AWAY FROM ME, climbing up the rafter, it was so surreal. I couldn't believe my luck!!! It was an awesome show!

anyone take a camera?

I'm back. I took a camera, but I was taking pictures for my photo journalism class, so i was using a 35mm camera. I have to develop the pictures later but i'll post them as soon as I do.

Here are some videos from my cell phone cam: http://www.bosshoggshow.com/ACL/

sweet cant wait to see those pictures, he sort of did the same thing at the columbus show where he left the stage then re-apeared in the crowd. Simply amazing.

thankyou King Payam, for those clips, they've made me soooo excited about going to see them aaaaah!!!! It looks amazing! thankyou!!!

  • 2 weeks later...

it was forgotten

during the acoustic set, as they were getting ready, Chris looked at this really buff shirtless guy at the front and said "Holy shit! That guy's got huge muscles!" and smiled and laughed.
