Ghosts, God nor does the Afterlife exist (perhaps)

Featured Replies

That is the title of my term paper. It is an exploration of what the truth can be yet will never be proven. Instead, I plan to spark the mind of people that have been molded mentally.

If I actually saw a ghost, that would open the doors WIDE open for me and the thought of the afterlife would no longer be a question. I believe the human mind is extremely creative and can conjure events and images that are not real. I also believe the mind can be shaped easily such as the type of religion you practice now. As kids, we believe in such things as Santa, but come to realize it was just a story...is God the adult version?

I never was a good church student as I asked too many questions when something didn't make sense. "Bread fell from the sky?", I ask. It happened because IT JUST DID was the answer. That answer was equal to a kid saying, "just because".

I can't prove that Ghosts, God, or the afterlife does NOT exist, nor can you prove that is does. This is where the never-ending circle begins and wonder if it will ever be broken.

It comes down to Faith vs Logic

maybe it all is fantasy ... you don't know anything til you die and then perhaps its too late because you are nothing but i believe there are all these things ... definitely believe in God and afterlife anyway, i find it impossible to believe that the universe was created because it was just there and humans are here because of the big bang?!!!

to make something so special ... it takes something so special and that has to be something along the lines of God :D .. its also a very nice feeling to know that you are never alone ...

i am not a church go-er, i have been when i was younger but i feel that everything was created and not happened by accident, God did it! :)

I believe in those things..Actually you're not the only one that saw a ghost!! i saw one once a long time ago!!

So your saying that it could be all fantasy and that you won't know anything until you die, but then you say God did it? It sounds like you have 2 opinions about it.

No one REALLY knows how the universe was created and the big bang is just a theory yet to me sounds a bit more feasable than someone creating it in a few days.

No!! i don't think God did it!!! i don't know!! i don't like to talk about God because that's a controversial subject!!

I never said I saw a ghost, I said "IF" I actually saw a ghost.

If ghost really exist, why after all these years there still is NO solid proof they exist even with all our advanced technology we have now.

I think we want to see things, so we do.

YOu can't say that if you can't see something that couldn't exist...

ghosts are explained with quantic physic

Maybe ghosts do exists......I mean watch Ghostbsters the Movie!

I used to be a church-goer when i was a child....through my own choice as my parents are not that religious.

Although i still believe in god (not so much the bible itself), i am also a beliver in science and unlike the person above i believe we were created through the big band. Al though i do believe that god played his part.

I believe more in the science of something, i want to know why and how rather than put it down to something such as a mirrical (sorry its not spelt right i know but i dont know the correct spelling).

But like the person above said, believeing in god and afterlife gives us that comfort to feel that we are not truly alone, but in some way are being guided/watched and helped. It does all come down to faith and what we each have faith in, what helps us to live our lives.

The answer to whether god and ghost trully excists i dont feel will ever be proven through science, its only shown within those that believe you believe.

well thats just my own little view on the matter :D

Agreed, believing in the afterlife takes away from the fear of death. Nobody wants to think that when we die, that's it. It is depressing to think about that idea and seems like a let-down. Years of gaining knowledge and experience for what?

We take that experience and knowledge and pass it on to our children, and through them we live on.

Sounds like a weird topic for a term paper

I was going to make it about sheep that drink through forks, but found it a bit one dimensional.
